**** Tam Tam *****

Hi !!!!

My invites are almost put together. Fi and I folded the invitations, stuffed them in the inner envelopes and put our cute sticker seals on them. Tonight the plan is to run the clear address labels. (Yes I stole your idea) and put matching numbers on the response cards and the guest list. So we can put the reponse cards in their envelopes and dump the whole thing in the outer envelopes. Damn thats a lot of envelopes. lol

Did you do yours on sunday ?

No I did not, and I'm super jealous of you.  LOL.  I've been thinking about the invitations all week.  I know that doesn't help.  LOL.  I got sidetracked because I didn't know what time to put on the invitations, so I had to ask the wedding coordinator, post a question on AAW board.  See, I would like to walk down the aisle at 2:30pm but I wasn't sure how long the prelude and all of that was supposed to take, so I asked  my wedding coordinator and she said about 30minutes, so then she said to put 2:30pm on the invitations because people will know to get there at 2:00pm for the prelude, but I thought to myself, I would not know that.  So I asked my FMIL, what she thought about it, and she said that if the invitation said 2:30 most people will arrive at 2:30 (see my coordinator is white, so she don't know no better LOL).  So, that was settled I put 2:00pm on the invitations.

Then the next issue was that my coordinator said that she needed about 2 hours to set up, well, I wasn't sure if the manager for the venue was going to be ok with that because the earliest time I reserved the space was 12:00noon, and if she wasn't cool with that, I would have to push the time back on my invitations.  And so I've been trying to reach her for the past two days to see what she said.  I finally reached her and she said that was cool.

Now, I'm having technical difficulty.  I've been trying to print out my inserts, but the freakin' color printer is not working. Grrrr!  The only thing that's in color is the monogram, so I guess that's not a big deal, it's just the insert, but I'm so mad because I would like to print it in color, since I went out and bought a color ink cartridge.  Oh well!

I can't send anything out until this weekend anyways, because I have to wait until the envelopes get here.  They'll get here tomorrow.  I just have to get the return addresses printed on the back of the envelopes.  So, really, I'm looking at actually mailing the envelopes out on Monday at the earliest, because we'll probably spend Sunday assembling everything.  I'm really hoping to send them out on Monday.  We'll see.  I have to.  I can't put this off any longer.

I think the clear lables are the best way to go.  I need to do the whole RSVP card numbering thing.  I keep hearing these horror stories.  LOL.  When are you sending your invitations out?  You said that your RSVP date is June 4th?  So, do you plan on having the same RSVP date for both the A and B list?  How will you determine when to send out the B List?  Are you just going to send them out as you get no responses?  I'm thinking about doing RSVP deadline for A list a little earlier so that I can make the arrangements to send out B List invites at a reasonable time.  I don't know.  I'm so clueless about this whole process.  Maybe that's why I'm dragging my feet about sending out the invitations, because I'm so nervous about my list being too long and too many people showing up.

Ok, I hope that you had a good nights rest after the printer fiasco. Its definitely a good decision to make the invites for a half an hour earlier. it give the stragglers time to get there. You know that half our people are never on time. My wedding starts at 6:30 and the invite says 6.

I was thinking that the B list deadline would be a few days after the 4th. As for sending them out. I was thinking that I would wait a few weeks after I send out the A list invites and see what the responses look like before I consider that list. And if it gets down to the wire, I might even call a few people on the B list  and make up something like, "Girl what is your address, your damn invite came back to me in the mail and you need to rsvp asap." lol. Hopefully, I'll have them mailed this weekend.
