Are you planning an after party? Nope. There's a new casino about a mile away from our venue where people might go afterward, but we're not planning anything.

Are you planning pre-wedding festivities (besides the Rehearsal dinner)? I like the idea of a spa day for the girls. As of right now, all other pre-wedding things will be planned by other people (like showers and stuff).

How long have you known your MOH? Since I was 4, she's my little sister

What day of the week is your wedding on? - Saturday.. we considered Friday night (7/20) to reduce cost but the savings were so minimal it wasn't worth it.

Are you serving cake and punch, apps, lunch, or dinner at your reception? - Cocktail hour with tons of apps & stations and then a formal sit-down 3-course dinner... my family and friends are getting FED!

How many people are you inviting? - Looking at 213 at the moment, but a lot are "courtesy invites" thanks to my FMIL....ugh... we're expecting between 125-145 to actually show up

Are you playing games at your reception, or just having music and dancing? - Do drinking games count? (kidding) We booked a DJ, so music & dancing

Are you planning an after party? - An informal one at the bar located in the hotel we have a room block in

Are you planning pre-wedding festivities (besides the Rehearsal dinner)? - I'M not planning anything, but rumor has it there will be a bridal shower and a bachelorette party...

How long have you known your MOH? - Since I was 8 or so... our brothers were in boy scouts together and our families became super close. We call each other "sister" and get away with it because we actually look alike.

And just for fun...What's for lunch today? - I made a huge amount of a really simple chicken and veggie stir fry last night and will be eating it for lunch for the next few days

Are you planning an after party? The hotel that we are all staying at has a bar that is open until 2 am so that is the afterparty spot. I don't plan on staying the whole time we have other things to do after the wedding

Are you planning pre-wedding festivities (besides the Rehearsal dinner)? Nope our parents threw us an engagement party but besides that we are not doing anything else besides the rehearsal.

How long have you known your MOH? Since I was 3 months old she is my cousin

Apps at cocktail hour, then a full 4 course meal (its a weird time so its kind of Linner), cupcakes/plated desert, then probably a end of the night burger/fries/shakes station. My guests won't need to eat for days!
How many people are you inviting?
Last count was 155 but I think its changed since then. It will be around there though, we had to garuntee 140.
Are you playing games at your reception, or just having music and dancing?
Music and Dancing. I had games and stuff at my Bat Mitzvah, no need to do it agian.
Are you planning an after party?
Not necassarily planning. But we have a hospitality suite and my family has a tendancy to congregrate in those and hang out/eat/play games for hours. Also, a popular area restuarant/bar is opening a new location down the street from my venue, so we may end up there at some point.

I'm not. But there will be two showers and a bachelorette party. We are maybe thinking of doing something the day before, since a lot of guests will come Saturday but I don't know what yet. Possibly a minor league baseball game but their scheduale isn't out yet.

How many people are you inviting?

Initially we wanted around 150 people, but we currently have around 220 people on the current guest list. My family is from South Africa, so this includes over 50 people who live overseas (mostly in South Africa but also in Englan and Dubai), and from our estimates and what our family has said we'll be lucky if 5 of these guests are able to come. I bet we'll end up with around 175 total

Are you planning an after party?
Nope, our venue serves til 1am and then kicks everyone out by 1:30am (or maybe it was 1:30am and 2:00am?) so I don't think an after party is necessary

I know my bridesmaids are planning a stagette for me, and I will probably plan some kind of get together (BBQ or lunch or something) with the entire bridal party so they can all meet (at the bridal party's request)

One of them I've known my entire life (older sister) and the other I've known since I was 5 (younger sister)

<div>I know, it's crazy. I never ever would have thought I'd have such a big guest list (220 people). I think the reason ours is so big is that FI has a big extended family, and his step dad, who has been in his life since he was 6, also has a big family who we are close to. I was born in South Africa, so all of my extended family (a little over 50 people) are invited, but the big majority will not be able to afford to come. Since my family has lived in Canada (moved when I was two), we have developed an "adopted" extended family, who we spend all our holidays with. So basically FI and I have our own biological extended families, plus two bonus extended families, who we love just as much. And somewhere in there we had to squeeze a few of our friends into the guest list! I anticipate around 175 being able to make it, but of course I'll be thrilled if everyone can come.</div>
