Do you really want to know what someones favorite Christmas color is? If so I guess your only standard options are red or green...in which case I choose red :)
Wait.. you got stockings filled with candy and food? I've seriously never heard of that.   Mine was always small gifts. Posted by Tiffany618
We had all of the above..... Ours get filled with some nuts, some bite-size candy, and some little presents.  As soon as we look at them, we get a bag or something to put our goodies in, and my mom takes the stockings away so nothing happens to them.

Stockings are a big deal in my family.  Ours are all handmade, mostly with felt, plus sequins and beads and stuff, and each person has a different scene on theirs.  Growing up, just me, my brother, and sister had them... Then the year that both my siblings got married (2007) we made stockings for mom and dad too... and now James has one, or at least he will - it's really close to being finished... and the two grandkids have one too.  All of them stay at my parents' house.

My grandmother made stockings for us when we were growing up, so they are a big deal in our family as well!

I really want to make some for my house too - I helped make a lot of the recent additions while I was in college - but I just don't have the time.  I've already started thinking up how I'd decorate them, but just haven't started on them... One of these years.

I've wanted to do that as well.  I want to make one for my FI.  My grandma made them for myself, for brother, my mom and my dad.  I don't know if my dad even still has his.  I also have stockings for my pets, but I would like to make them a cute one.  I just have the store bought ones!
