all of my etsy orders came in yesterday and i am ecstatic.

these 2 are from australia, i'm wearing the first one now and i think it's just about my favorite piece of jewelry:

this one is made of an actual buttefly wing, but don't worry, no butterflies were harmed - it lived out its natural lifespan before being collected:

Wow, those are all beautiful! I used to have a butterfly wing necklace similar to that, same color wing even, but over time it browned so I don't wear it anymore. I'm not sure if it's something I did to it or if that just happens with time.

I really want a fun cover for my Kindle, but H went out of his way to make sure mine came with a nice leather case, sooo... I'm kinda stuck until something happens to it, or I have my own money. lol.

I love it. The seller was kind of a PITA (it took a week longer for her to ship than she said it would, and kept sending these weird super apologetic emails, and said she'd overnight it, and then refused to) but it's worth it. I was picky about cases and didn't like any of the options at B&N!

I got a really cute purple skirt for $16 the other day!

Our cement walkway was finally poured on the weekend! No more wooden planks for us. H and I carved our initals into it like a bunch of 13 year olds!

Both lots beside us have been dug up which means we'll have neighbours in about 6 months which means we're that much closer to putting up a fence and landscaping!

I love when people do that! I lived in a rent house a few years ago that had initials in the driveway and it always made me happy to think how proud the people who built it in the 40's were of their new house.

Out here all the houses are built with fences, so I still find it weird when we go back east and lots of houses don't have private yards.

Saturday I went shopping to celebrate my new job, and got some amazing deals. I picked out two dresses and a dressy top, totally expecting to pay close to $100 (each dress was $35, the top was $20). Turns out they were all 75% off. Plus, when I went digging for my rewards punch card, I uncovered a full one (which gives me $10 off total purchase) and a gift card I had totally forgotten about!! So I got my whole purchase without spending a dime!!
