I've been on for a while, but am now starting the nitty-gritty of planning and thought I'd introduce myself.

What is your/FI name? I'm Emily, he's Ben.
How old are you/FI? He's 24, will be 25 at our wedding, I'm 28.
How did you meet? At a Halloween party in 2008 that was technically on Nov. 1st. He was dressed as an 80s punk rocker with a horrendous English accent and I was dressed as Ms. Moneypenny from James Bond and kept getting mistaken for Sarah Palin.
What do you/ FI do for a living? My FI is in the United States Air Force and works in Analysis. I'm a freelance make-up artist and dog-sitter and will hopefully be going back to grad school soon.
When is your wedding date? We aren't able to set it yet, but hopefully mid-October.
What is your theme? Not sure, right now we're just going with wedding.
What are your colors? Deep tomato and geranium/vermillian red, deep orange (pumpkin certerpieces), golden saffron yellow with touches of ivory.

Guess I should introduce myself, since I've been commenting for about a month now.

How did you meet? We met because he was the bartender at a local bar that I started to go to often with my girlfriends back in 2008.

What do you/ FI do for a living? I am a Vet Tech student at Purdue University and graduate in December!! FI is a seed sales rep for Monsanto.

When is your wedding date? Our date is 10/6/12...fall break at my school is the following Monday and Tuesday so we are taking a mini-moon then and a big trip in December.

What is your theme? We don't really have a theme. But the style is tradition with a twist, paying respect to wedding traditions just doing them a bit differently. Also doing things that a bit more modern and funky.

How did you meet? we met on a social networking site (like facebook) by chance... I was looking to add "friends" to my list so was surfing randomly through some profiles when I saw his photo and said Hmmm that looks like someone I could spend the rest of my life with (jokingly)...so I "friended him".

His status said something along the lines of being lonely, so I being me of course, wrote him a message saying Awww someone needs a hug... that got us talking, we exchanged quite a few messages lol, then MSN id's and discussed getting together for a coffee and that hug!

I knew there was something special about him the moment we started chatting a flow of eletricity, a tingle, a connection, . I know sounds far fetched and people say NAH that doesn't happen...a few weeks later I happened to be in Ottawa where we met up so I could give him THAT HUG, and when we hugged, I knew my life would never be the same lol and well life has never been the same since... he purposed on our 1 year anniversary and now we are eagerly looking forward to our happily ever after together

How did you meet?

My FI and I went to middle school together, but he ended up leaving in the end of our 8th grade year because his parents got divorced and he moved away with his mom. Fast forward to four and half years later when my best friend and I randomly have a conversation about him at lunch one day. Wouldn't you know it that that week he went to a football game at my high school. When I saw him I ran to get my friend and we ended up talking with him for a while during halftime. Later the next week he messaged me on myspace and we started talking. He invited me out to his choir concert and then to dinner after, and of course I accepted. Two years after that first date he asked me to marry him in the very same restaraunt.
