in October 2012 Weddings
We love our venue. We fell in love with it right away. The only down fall is that the ceremony and reception will have to be in a matter of 4 hours. ; ( That's so short. That means that we will have to have the ceremony then take the pictures which I would think would take about an hour and a half to two hours. I feel like it's not enought time. What should we do to make it feel longer?

    You could hold an after party some where, or you could take pictures before so you can enjoy the reception as much as possible....if you don't mind seeing the groom before. hope this helps

    Is it absolutely 4 hrs max?  I ask bc our venue has set pricing for a 4 hr time block, then you pay $150 for each additional hour.  Is this something you could inquire about?  Of course, I know it is an additional cost, but it might be worth it if it will keep you from stressing out and rushing through everything.

    i agree with a possible after party, if your booking hotel blocks, book one that has a bar for an after party. 

    if not, just ask your venue if they can give you 5 hours (anything can be done -for a price- that is).

    pictures before hand is definitely a good idea too

    AFTER PARTY!!! Thats what we are doing. So the older people who like going home early can go and those who want to party go to where ever the after party is. Like mine will be at my parents or possibly a hotel.

    Unfortunatly our additional fee would be our venue total devided by 4. Which would be $500.00!!!!! I refuse to pay an extra $500 for 1 extra hour! After party sounds good too. I would rather not see FI before the ceremony. It just makes it that more special to us.

    Do first look pictures take all your pictures before the wedding then you get a solid 4 hours to enjoy your reception
