Renting light colored grooms suits?

Hi,
My groom wants to wear a light colored suit, we are having our wedding at the beach. He loves Men's Wearhouse and its convient since the grooms men are all over the place, however, they only rent black or navy suits or tuxes.

I am looking for suggestions of places that rent light colored suits, ideally something with multiple locations but if not I guess the guys could just send in their measurements?

We would need at least one location  near Boston MA or Cape Cod, MA so we can go see/try the suits for the groom at least.

Thanks so much!

  • I'm no  help on where but is he dead set on a SUIT?  I only ask because if it's in the 80's or 90's and sunny he's going to roast to death.  Why not go with a nice pair of khaki colored slacks and a white button down in a lightweight fabric like linen or cotton?

We are getting married a week from today in Playa del Carmen.  My man is wearing a pair of lightweight dress slacks from Tommy Bahama (they are silk and were like $145 but we figure he'll wear them again) and a light weight bluish shirt by Tommy. Hilfiger

His whole outfit together is similar to this:  http://www.tommybahama.com/TBG/Men/Pants.jsp

    It's these pants I'm talking about:  http://www.tommybahama.com/TBG/Men/Pants/View_All_Pants/PRD_T1723/Flying+Fishbone+Pants.jsp

SORRY, I WENT OFF THE PAGE. LOL
  • Jos A Bank rents tan suits. They also sell tan suits in the spring and summer and often run buy one get two free sales.
  • Thanks for the idea of Jos A Banks, I'll check that out.
While I like what the other bride is doing with kakhi's and a light shirt, my groom wants to be more formal than that. We are only outside on the beach for the ceremony like 20 mins, he was considering wearing a black tux, but I think a light colored suit will be the best fit between formal and still beachy.

    thanks.

  • A suit in cotton or linen will not be too hot in that weather.

OP have you considered looking for suits for them to purchase instead? If you find a good sale, purchasing a suit wouldn't cost much more than renting and they'll fit better.  Macy's has great sales on suits frequently.
  • We just went into Jos Bank this weekend looking at their light colored tux. They require an appointment and they just tell you look at a book. They do have some tropical weight suits. So FI could really not try them on - we kinda of want to visualize which was hard with the book. But i think if you were doing more suits you might have more luck just an fyi. But we liked the look better than mens warehouse.
