Blennerhassett Island State Park

Hi ladies, I know this might be more of a "local" question, but the WV board is about dead! lol

Has anyone gotten married on Blennerhassett Island (in the Ohio River)? It is a WV State Park, and I searched the entire state park website and not one time does it mention weddings!

I know some of you ladies are using state parks in your areas, so what did you have to go through to get permission, etc??

    Have you tried doing a search on your local board?

    Try doing a google search... I found this:

    Thanks for the advice, but like I said, the WV board is dead, nobody but me comments on anything! :(

    As for google, I have the Island's website, but there is nothing on it mentioning weddings at all!! The google site you found is for the Blennerhassett Hotel, which is completely different and separate than Blennerhassett Island, but thanks for trying!

    Blennerhassett Island is an actual WV State Park, that's why I asked what things the other girls who have gotten married at state parks had to do to get permission.

    We have a public parks and recreation, maybe you have something with a similar name? Search "picinic sites" or picinic rentals under public parks. It seems like if the park doesn't have a rose garden, pavillion or gazebo,it's listed under picinic, not wedding. State laws are all different but I'm paying a small site fee, appllication fee, may need a noise permit but that's a separate dept., must pack out all the trash, and can bring bottled/canned beerand champagne. It took a 15 minute phone call (10 on hold) but we got it all figured out
