Fit Zone

Hi ladies! :) I was just wondering if anyone here uses Fit Zone and what their experiences like there? I am really keen on joining an all-women gym and have heard good things about this place. Anybody have any experiences they would like to share? Thanks so much!

    I was a member there for a little over a year. I'm sure it varies from gym to gym, since they are independently owned. I went to the one in Howell and it was great. Lots of equipment, classes, free weights, etc. The staff was very helpful and motivating. The circuit is decent. I really like the comfortable atmosphere. I don't think I could ever go back to a gym that had guys in it.

    I belong to the one in Allen Park and like it for the most part. I feel a lot less self conscious in an all women's gym. The one I go to is always very clean and there are always machines open. It seems more expensive than most gyms, it's about $50 a month for a membership with access to classes. I also wish they were open more hours, they close at 8pm and are only open till 2 on Saturdays.

    Also, they close at 7pm on Fridays and are not open on Sunday. If you work at U of M, there is a discount that makes it $35 a month and no initiation fee. I'm not sure if that works for students or not.
