I am looking for a photographer that does candid artsy shots...not looking for traditional posing...maybe just a few....everyone that i've called or emailed have already been booked solid may 2011....insane...

And I thought I was starting early.

    I am using Collin Richie www.collinrichiephoto.com. He has been great to work with so far.   We had our engagements with him and he is doing my bridals this Friday.

    I don't know if my photographer does "artsy" pictures but I know she will try anything.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!!!!!  I have looked at all of them and emailed all of them!

    Collin Richie has got some images that I like....Hopefully he's not already booked and that we can afford him!!!

    Katharine?!  I didnt realize that was you!  Its Stephanie!

    About Collin Richie, i found him randomly from looking online.   I booked him for my wedding and two months later found out he was the photographer for my fiance's best man who was got married last november!   At the same time I found out another one of my fiance's friends was getting married in June and they had Collin too! (and Katharine is the bride! :) It was such a small world!  i booked him and had never even met him! :)  He has been great so far and one of the few vendors that has been so easy to work with.   He was especially accommadating because i changed my mind and decided to do my engagements and bridals at the last minute and he worked it out with us!   Good luck with whichever photographer you choose!

    One of my best friends used Collin - he was great!!  However, we couldn't quite afford him since he left Photography Shoppe and went out on his own, but there are others at PS that are great too!  If Collin doesn't work out, check with PS...

    look at Dark Roux Photography. They are very inexpensive and artsy. We just had our engagements with them, and they are awesome to work with. Very candid and cool. www.darkroux.com is their website.

    I used this site all the time to look up wedding stuff and still like to try and be helpful to other brides & suggest my wonderful vendors like Collin. In fact I saw his work in the Lafayette paper today when I saw your engagement announcement :)
