Going to Vegas

WE are going to Vegas for our Honeymoon, not really to gamble. I am a foodie and want to try some restuants. Any suggestions on inexpensive places to do and things to see?

    I would recommend Bobby Flay's restaurant in Ceasar's Palace. A little spendy, but so worth it and so delicious!

    We were there in October and ate at Mesa Grill (Bobby' Flay's restaurant) and we loved it--my husband talked about it the whole trip!  Vegas is full of great restaurants.  Be sure to see a Bellagio fountain show, walk the strip and see all the hotels and casinos, ride the roller coaster at NYNY, see the sharks at Mandalay Bay, visit the conservatory at the Bellagio, take a gondola ride at the Venetian, and if it's in your budget see a Cirque de Soleil show.  If you are going April-October, that is pool weather in LV and the pools are fantastic--we spent every afternoon at the pool on our trip and then went out at night.

    Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay looks like an amazing and pretty inexpensive option! It's Hubert Keller's restaurant.  We wanted to try it but it was about to close for the night.  If you want to splurge, there's an amazing seafood brunch buffett at the Venetian.  It's about $70 pp, but it includes unlimited champagne, lobster tail, crab legs, etc. You really don't have to eat the rest of the day!

    I've been to Vegas twice, once with my mom and once with my husband.  My mom and I stayed at the Paris which was nice, but nothing special.  We went to the Mesa Grill for dinner one night and were extremely dissapointed.  The food was horrible and took forever.  

    DH and I stayed at Mandalay Bay which was fantastic.  They have a man made beach so we hung out there during the day and then walked the strip at night.  You really only need a couple days in Vegas b/c it's a bit overwhelming.  If you're there for longer, you should definitely take a trip to the Grand Canyon.

    I asked about traveling to vegas on the actual vegas board, and came up with lots of great ideas from them. =) definitely try that first.

    some of the 'visit vegas' sorts of websites might help you narrow down cuisine styles and price ranges.  I've heard the restaurant in the eiffel tower is really nice and has good food.  Plus, you can overlook the fountains =)
