We just opened up a nice bottle given to us from a guest as a tip to DH. It's pretty tasty.
We are also watching Kitchen Nightmares. Now I know they focus on the drama, but these people should NOT be running a restaurant. Really.
What are you all up to?
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
Re: Anyone drinking wine tonight?
I won't be around for much longer. My MOH should be here any minute (she lives in Pittsburgh). Tomorrow is my bach party! Woot!

</div><div>I'm going to a b-party next month (3 days before the wedding). I can't wait, it's a boat trip to the BVI's.

Back to Central time it is. It was nice not having to do some math to figure out posting times. (You know, because one whole hour is haaaaaard)
FI has his monthly poker game tonight, so I'll have the house to myself for the next few hours. Although, I don't have much planned. Most likely just some trashy TV.
I just totally ticked off my FSIL (who is 15)

<div>Eh, she's 15. She'll get over it. What happened?</div>
She is staying with us this weekend because her parents are out of town. I ended up catching her in a really big lie. So she is super ticked at me...she will get over it when she needs something again

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Anyone drinking wine tonight? : Easy A. I hope this doesn't post twice. The knot ate my reply the first time.

I watched that the other night with my FI and we really liked it :)

[QUOTE]I worked in a restaurant for a bit and it isn't that hard to give good service to people. I complain about service when I am out. I am not the annoying customer that doesn't realize there are other people besides us, but it isn't hard to say, "I will be right with you."

<div>Exactly !!</div><div>
</div><div>The outside was busy, the inside part (where we were) had a full bar (7 seat) and 2 other tables sat. There was another 10 or so tables empty. It's not like we were lost in a crowd. We were one of only 3 of 13-14 tables sat. We were wondering how they could NOT notice us. It's like DH and I had on our invisible suits on. </div>
[QUOTE]<strong>Lynda, that sucks. Is it typical to have iffy service on the island</strong>? I just clicked on facebook for a friend request and noticed after adding some knotties, now almost my entire "people you may know" section is knotties.

<div>Not so much at establishments run by continentals, like this one is.</div>
We are hanging out tonight. It has been a very long week of work.
