Wedding Day Shoes

I have a question regarding my shoes for my wedding day.  I found a pair love on Kate Spade- but they are extremley expensive! I have a hard time finding shoes because I want to wear flats (I am NOT a heel girl) is this too expensive for a shoe I'll probably wear once- if not only a couple of times? My Fi's sister said her shoes got ruined during her wedding- I don't want to spend alot of money only to have them get ruined! Please help!  Here is the link... http://www.katespade.com/bridal-trousseau/designer-wedding-shoes/florina/S143803,default,pd.html?dwvar_S143803_color=101&start=6&cgid=shoes-bridal

All the other flats are find are so plain!

Re: Wedding Day Shoes

  • Only YOU can determine is something to be too expensive.  I personally don't have $285 to spend on a pair of shoes (no matter how many times I plan on wearing them :-p), but to other people that amount is practically nothing.

Have you looked at zappos.com, 6pm.com, shoes.com, endless.com, etc as well as the department stores?  If you find something that is too plain, you can always buy a shoe clip or a flower or something that you can add to it yourself.

  • Here is what my mom and MOH told me. They are shoes and nobody will see them. However if they are super important to you and you can't imagine your wedding day without them then splurge! It is all up to you though!

You sound like my sister! She said just to go for it! I still have plenty of time to search for other options in the mean time- Thanks for your help!

Yeah, I am going to look elsewhere.  It really doesn't make much to spend that kind of money that could feed at least 4 people at my wedding! Thanks for your help!
  • That would give me sticker shock, but I am not a shoe girl. I plan to spend no more than $60 on my shoes. You could find a plain pair and hot glue a pretty flower on the top...
