Bside's thread made me think we also need a musicals thread! What are some of your favorite musicals, and what songs do you love most from them?
Here are a few of mine:
The Sound of Music - "Edelweiss," "Do, Re, Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen"
Mary Poppins - "Spoonful of Sugar," "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"
OKLAHOMA! - "People Will Say We're In Love" duet, "Out of My Dreams," "Lonely Room"
My Fair Lady - "I'm Getting Married in the Morning," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Without You"
Lady in the Dark - "My Ship" and "the Saga of Jenny" (Okay, I've never seen this show, but those songs rule)
Brigadoon - "Almost Like Being in Love"
Silk Stockings - all of them, can't pick one

If you haven't seen this, rent it! Cyd Charisse + Fred Astaire + fantastic score, dancing, and costumes = SWOON.
Victor/Victoria - "Le Jazz Hot," "Crazy World." I like the movie better than the show. Rent this, too!
I'll stop there for now. Now you guys go!
Edited: to make the list easier to read.
Re: Favorite Musicals?
Somebody once said, it's the soul that matters. Baby who can really tell, when two hearts belong so well?
Tale as Old as Time (Updated 11/26)
Ok, confession: I'm not big into musicals. I like them when I see them, but I don't seek them out, so I really don't have much to contribute. I'm a big fan of Phantom, but Deburnin already mentioned that one.

Hairspray: Good Morning Baltimore, Come So Far, Without Love, I Can Hear the Bells
Etc.

Oliver!: You've Got to Pick a Pocket or Two, I'd Do Anything
Fiddler on the Roof: Tradition, If I Were a Rich Man
Annie- 'Little Girls" (I think, I loved singing that.

I'm also slapping myself upside the head for forgetting to include Fiddler, Cate. I love "If I were a Rich Man" and "Anatevka."
B&W, Grease is good, too.
Desert--Chicago rules, too. "Funny Honey" is one of my faves, along with "Nowadays" and of course "All That Jazz."

Danser, cool. How'd it go? I start rehearsals for a production of Into the Woods in May. Sondheim is cool sometimes.

Now I'm craving musicals... think BF will let me hijack the TV tonight to watch Chicago?

South Pacific! Man, I forgot to add that one, too. Some Enchanted Evening? Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair? Classic and irresistible. I wish I'd gone to see the revival at Lincoln Center. Gah.
ETA: Has he seen Chicago before? I don't think it's terribly un-guy-friendly.
