i applaud all of you who picked dresses "they can wear again" but when i am asked to be in a wedding, i assume i am not wearing this dress again, but still want to look awesome that day and feel good and have some hand in picking it, no matter the price. hands down choice B.

I picked do whatever the bride wants because really thats what I do. If I like you enough to be in your wedding I will pay whatever you want me to pay and wear whatever hideous dress you want me to wear becuase I love you. Luckily my friends have had good taste but if they didnt I would just suck it up. That being said I would be happier paying more for a dress if it was really fabulous and made me feel great. But if it was hideous I would just shut up about the price and tell the bride it was fabulous.

Ultimately, I just want the bride to be happy and to feel good overall. But given my druthers, I'd pick "wear again."

LIke this bridesmaid dress that I've worn it all over god's green earth -- to weddings, parties, and as Miss Scarlet from Clue ;-) (with FI as Professor Plum)

I actually went with A because in all honesty, will I wear it again? No.
I also would chose 'following the brides orders' because I would wear whatever was asked.

Even if it doesn't scream BM and you can wear it again--what does that matter if you don't think you look great in it? You won't wear it again if you don't feel you look good in it anyway. In an ideal world for the purposes of the poll, I'd rather wear something I actually like on me. In real life, I just go with the flow and resign myself to wearing something that probably won't be particularly flattering on me.

I wouldn't expect to get a dress that I can wear again. If I did, I would probably think it wasn't dressy enough for a bridesmaid in a wedding.

I would definitely prefer a dress that looked good on me that cost more money.

Odds are slim that I would ever wear a BM dress again. I'll be honest, I barely like rewearing regular dresses to multiple events. If the same people are in attendance I will not. Unless it's super casual, there's very little chance of me ever rewearing a BM dress anyway, so I would rather have something that fits me great and I look good in the day of.

I put a dress that I picked myself....I would prefer the bride to pick a designer and color and then let me choose which dress from that line. That's what I did for my girls and I think it worked out well!

I picked spending more for something that I would rewear. There are tons of great dresses out there that you can wear as a BM that don't scream BM, the dress that Jen posted is an example. If it were up to me, I would rather not wear a dress that screams BM, even as a BM. In real life, I just wear whatever the bride tells me to and pay whatever they tell me to, but this poll asks what your preference is, and mine would be to spend more on a dress that I like and would re-wear. So far, I have never been lucky enough to have this happen to me as a BM, but I am hopeful one day I will be that fortunate!

Like Chelsea, I had my BMs choose from same designer/color/material though no one has ever given me that option- lol.

I"ve just followed the bride's orders in the past.
