I'm already in love with CP!

Lol I contacted my wedding coordinator and asked (just to make sure because I worry myself a little too much sometimes) if it's alright to have an outside photographer take photos around the grounds at CP and she said it was as long as they don't take photos during the ceremony or whenever the photographer for Imagine is shooting.

I'm so over the moon happy about this. Lol if I'm paying over $1,000 for my dress I want some nice pictures of it and good photos of our wedding party who we are closest too. I'm one of those people who feels photography is one of the biggest parts of the day because those are things you can look back on and never forget.

I'm happy now. :)
Really random, but I just thought I'd share.

I also asked her if it was possible to upgrade to the Augustus tower because when I went there I liked how secluded it was from everything else. She said that the Palace Tower and Augustus tower are pretty much the same. Does anyone know anything about this? I'd really like a room with a view of the strip instead of say the pool or the freaking rooftop haha.

  • I love it! I agree that photography is the most important thing...that was one of the top things on my list also!

  • I would just ask when you check in. It may be as simple as asking but if you want more of a grantee I would definitely slip a 20. We were just very nice and so was the man who checked us in so we got our first nights in the Augustus tower, but note we did have a view, a very pretty one though, of the pool and somewhat the roof.

<div>My coordinator said she could upgrade it free of charge lol. I'm sure even if they didn't really upgrade my mom would anyhow since she's a Total Rewards member and ALWAYS has comps. I think she was talking about getting a suite and letting us use it and her take our room. Idk yet though. Still have a while anyhow.</div><div>
</div><div>They are supposed to be decorated the same but the reason I want to be moved to the Augustus Tower is because when I visited a couple of weeks ago it didn't seem as busy in that area.</div>

My bridesmaids and I were supposed to stay in the Augustus Tower which was already an upgrade by my wedding coordinator.  When we checked in the day before my wedding, the woman at the front desk upgraded us again to the new Octavius Tower.  She put us in a suite which goes for a little more than $600 per night.  The room was very nice and big enough for everyone to get ready.  We had a ball!  The upgrade was for two nights....the girls stayed again and I went back to my suite at the Vdara with my new hubby :-)

We did not slip any money to the front desk staff.  The woman was just kind enough to upgrade us once I told her I was getting married there.  The room/tower was so awesome and it was just a short walk to the chapel in the Augustus Tower where I got married.
