Yeah, I'd say we have until at least pacific time to get there, right? It's almost 8pm here, so 4 hours officially for me anyway.
I'm a little annoyed at how many people on FB seem to always make a point about how AWFUL their year was and how they hope the next year will be better. Don't they realize that if they continue to think this way, every year of their lives is gonna suck? Dumb.

They all have better social lives ???
Honestly if DH and most of my friends were not working right now I would be out. It sucks being in the hospitality industry.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
I'm back and the house is intact - woo hoo! There will still be more bad weather but the super scary tornado stuff is gone. Yay! We are seriously getting close to 2011 posts.
Eta: I totally meant to say 2011 the first time lol

I used to go out on NYE, but I just don't like to anymore. We just got a text from a friend and he invited us over to drink after dinner, so we might but... I kinda like hanging out at home in my jammies!
My friend just popped a bottle of champagne - I'm excited. And happy not to be flattened by a tornado and all.
I kind of like low key new years plans. We are here with our best friends drinking beer and watching football. H and his BF are wanting to hack my nook. I'm scared
I'm not huge into going out for NYE either. Crowded bars and dangerous late night driving just aren't my thing. I kinda wish I could have a drink right now, but alas this cold is upstaging my drinking abilities.
My dad is crazy when it comes to warning me about bad drivers and black ice and stuff. He calls me around holidays to tell me to be careful because of crazy drivers. He loves me.
I try to just explain that she really just wants to love everyone and that is why she does it. That and she obviousy is an AW puppy. I think that is typical of labs though, to LOVE to be the center of attention. I am fairly certain she thinks she is a person. She likes to sit on kitchen chairs and look around at eye level with others sitting there, it's hilarious.
X jumps on everyone. I thinks it's the nature if the dog lol.
Kiki... How did I not know you had a black lab? Or did I and I forgot. Either way, lab people are awesome :-)
I would agree that lab people are pretty awesome. I never thought I would get a lab but after FI convinced me to get one, the minute I laid eyes on her when we picked her up at the breeder's, I fell in love.

Now that I have meat marinating, my H is asking if we should go out for dinner instead. Argh! No, now I have all the ingredients, so we're staying in. Grumble.

On a side note, we are around 100 posts til we reach 2011, I think we can do it.
