How to properly list parents

I know this has been discussed, but can you please refresh my memory...

If I want to to list our parents name on the program as Parents of the Bride and Parents of the Groom, how do I put the woman's name on there without separating the man from his last name??

Is this making any sense?

The way I have it now is:

John and Mary Smitth (which I know is totally wrong.)

but what is proper etiquette....?

TY :)

  • If you're not using titles: Mary and John Smith.
  • Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
invite you to the marriage of their daughter
    Ashley Marie
     to
    Popeye Sailer
    son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schmoe

That's how I have it on my invite, but I'm talking about my program and listing our families. I am not using titles, and I really do not have room, since it is a small accordion type.  So if I am not using titles, the woman's name should go first, right?
