Photographer/Videographer in NYC or Metropolitan Area

My twin sister is getting married in Tribeca and she is having an intimate wedding. She'd like to have a photographer/videographer that is recommended and has good references, but she really is trying to stick to a budget.
Any ideas or recommendations?

    This last April my fiance and I had a budget wedding in Manhattan. We found beIMAGED Photography through a friend, and the photographer of the company, Melissa Lynn, worked out extremely well for us. She's been around for a couple of years, but offers lower rates than a lot of the NYC photogs we looked at. If your sister can budget around $2000-2500, then she should look into beIMAGED! She might even work with lower budgets - I am not sure, but her website is www.beimaged.com.

    Most photographers of her caliber seem to have prices from $4000, so we thought we found quite the gem. But anyway, if the budget is lower than $2000, a couple of my friends have had success with craigslist, but I've heard it isn't the best plan of action.

    we got married in PR but our engagement photographer was Julia Azcona and she was wonderful and very well priced.  her website is juliaazcona.com

    I had a very low-key wedding in a park upstate and my photographer was amazing. She doesn't print all the photographs out but does include a CD of approved high resolution images, a keen eye for detail shots and candid shots, and a ridiculously friendly personality for an awesome price. She knew I had a tight budget and didn't push a fancy album on me, instead guided me to where I could design my own. She does strictly photography but I'm pretty sure she has a friend that she works closely with that does videography. Her blog is www.astami.wordpress.com. I can't tell you enough how much I've fallen in love with her!

    I can't recommend my photographer, Kim Salem, highly enough.  She was within our budget, does both journalistic and posed shots, and was so helpful, even carrying my lipgloss for me at one point!  Her blog is at www.kimberlysalemblog.com

    www.vesawp.com  reasonable rates.  Peter Lunji did our wedding.  EVERYONE says it looks like something out of a magazine.  When you go to the site, the majority of the work is his.

    We got the more up-to-date version of looking at our Story of the Day pictures.  The slideshow plays music.  We are also getting a flushmount photo album from him.  I ordered my thank  you cards using his photo and everyone just loved them.
