Father/Daughter Dance - Elvis song

I wanted an Elvis song for my dance with my dad. He is a big Elvis fan and I can remember him singing every single word to any Elvis song that ever came on... my idea was Love Me Tender, but would that be awkward? Also, not even thinking about the lyrics, I'm wondering if the melody is dance-able? Any other song suggestions?

    Great song. My dad is a huge Elvis fan, as well. Something about "love me tender" creeps me out a little though. Maybe I just have issues ;) Memories by Elvis is a popular father/daughter dance song. But I mean it's pretty hard to find lyrics that don't sound romantic in some way. Maybe I'm overanalyzing.

    I love Elvis too but I think "Love me Tender" is more of a song for you & your FI & other couples.

    Not many of Elvis' songs are really father/dughter appropriate, he sang to the ladies that's why they loved him. :)   I understand what you mean though, only it was my mom that sang the Elvis Song's to me.  My daddy sang Johnny Cahs.

    Because many of them are either too slow to dance to or quite obvious it's supposed to be sung to a "lover"

    I don't think "Memories" is inappropriate. We are using it for the father/daughter and mother/son dance, which we are doing together because my dad hates having attention directed just on him. Here are the lyrics, which I find very sweet. Daughters and sons, when young, pick bouquets for their parents. To me it sounds like a song remembering some great times together. FWIW, I played the youtube version for my fiance, and he agreed it would be great for our parents dances. Here are the lyrics......
