So, I would like to have the traditional Father/Daughter dance at my wedding with my dad. My parents have been incredibly supportive of me and my fiance - giving us money, helping us with other things..whatever. His parents, however, are a nightmare. They don't want us getting married, said some horrid things, and haven't spoken to us since we got engaged. If I do a father/daughter dance, does my fiance have to do a mother/son dance? He doesn't want to, and to be honest, I would be totally hurt to see his mother getting any attention on our wedding day, of which she so outrightly disapproves of. Any thoughts?

My Married Bio
It's not necessary.
And because DH and I are both teachers, we probably go to two weddings a year, every year.
The mother-son dance just isn't done much. So don't do it.
