I picked up my wedding band on Friday and love it even more.

When my MOH was in town this weekend, I took her up to the venue and showed her everything. Showing her around got me even more excited.

We had our first shower this weekend. It was so wonderful. The food was yummy and we got some great gifts!! I got my kitchenade mixer from my mom. I can't wait to use it.

This was our guest book for the shower. We are doing the same thing for the wedding and I can't wait to hang them afterwards.

I wrote all the thank you notes yesterday and am waiting on FI to sign them and they will be in the mail.

I met with my bridesmaid this weekend to go over the food for the shower. I also, ordered our engagement photo guestbook.

I got a few things done this weekend.

-Finished the card box (pic on FB)
-Sprayed 9 of the Tolsby frames for our table numbers. Doing the rest in the next few days.
-Attached ribbon to candy buffet jars. Doing the rest in the next few days as well.
-Received my garter on Saturday. FI is going to love it (it's a suprise). I got GB Packers, his favorite team of all time.
-Bought a skirt to wear to my Jack & Jill on Saturday. Going today or tomorrow to find a shirt & shoes to go with it.

We got my mom & one of my grandmother's dresses on Saturday. My other grandmother is very, very picky so no surprise she didn't get anything.

I forgot one.... I can fit in my dress. When I first join the board, I was telling you guys that I had to lose weight to get in my wedding dress. I ordered it online and was not able to send it back. My family thought I needed to loose weight anyway. I need to change the weight on my wieight ticker. I AM NOW 125 LBS AND MY DRESS FITS LIKE A GLOVE!!!

FI got his passport done this weekend; and I found out my birth certificate doesn't have my parents names on it so I needed to request a new one for me to get a passport & for the marriage certificate. Glad I looked into doing it over a month before crunch time; since its going to be so delayed now.

Also got buckets for bubbles and programs at the church, and got them and my bird cage for cards spray painted. Also printed and cut the rehearsal invites; just need to get more tape runner to attach the info to the backing.

Set my hair trial apt for Saturday, so thats excited!

We painted 300 glass mugs this weekend. I will post pictures later. We still need to one more final coat.

We also had our first counseling session and it was so great! It was a great reminder not to get wrapped up in the planning (food, colors,flower, drama etc...) and really focus on what is ACTUALLY happening. Two people are making a commitment to be together for the rest of their lives. Whew. It was very refreshing for us. We will have 5 more sessions and I am very excited!

I didn't get much done this weekend, other than finishing some necklaces and earrings I'm making for FI's family. I also have some to make for our severs and such.

WE did go look for an apartment, but the one we saw was so tiny! I think I would get claustrophobia in it! Eeek!

And I started looking for a job in the town FI lives in.

And yes....Ash -- LOVE your ring!

I didnt do much WR this weekend....

-we met with my uncle to discuss our slide show that he is creating for us... I am so excited to see it!!

-i met with a lady from church who is planning my church shower. I am SO excited! We figured out a menu and theme. I just think its so sweet of the church to do this. It was so unexpected!!

-NWR: We (aka FI!) put Carer's door up and finished the skirt board on the steps (in the new house) and the kitchen cabinets are supposed to be here tomorrow and the tile guy is going to start on the bathroom this week.... everything is happening so fast now!!

We have had 3 sessions so far....2 more to go. They really are great. And I agree....good to keep your focus in the right place!

Oh I forgot - we did get a MAJOR thing done.

WE found shirt, tie and pants for FI to wear for the wedding (Semi-formal...no suit. It's outside, so he'll be hot enough as it is!)

And I have to say...we went to Kohl's. Spent $45 and SAVED $85. I am so proud of us. I LOVE KOHL'S!!!

Ordered my slip and longline bra for under my dress
Got the invitations in the mail, and started addressing them.
Booked the limo! This was one thing I was stressing about, but I finally found a company that has what we want for a decent price.

I picked up our marriage license today!

The draft of our rehearsal invitation is done and approved by FMIL.

My mom and FMIL bought their dresses. I'm not a huge fan of FMIL's - it's not quite age/church appropriate for a 50 year old woman (especially when the model looks like she's about 12!) but it's not worth arguing over.

Ash- I love your wedding band- so beautiful! KrisKenny- great idea on the garter- I am totally going to get a Ravens one now- FI will be super surprised!

My BM's mom is being so generous and addressing our invites for free, so I dropped them off with her on Saturday. I also ordered my BM jewelry on Friday afternoon. Excited to get the invites sent out!

We had a super busy weekend, but we did get 132 (of the 180) 4 oz. quilted mason jars that we'll need to make our favors.

P.S. Throwing a bridal shower is a lot of work....please thank the hosts properly with a nice (even if it's small) gift.
