I want to go to Beaufort so bad I can't stand it!! I'm from Alabama, but I've spent alot of time in the Carolina's, and SC especially the Beaufort/Charleston area is my favorite place in the world!! I'm not sure when we'll hear about orders, H had 2 year orders for Japan, so those will be up in Feb of next year. I want to know now, and I want it to be Beaufort!! Do you love it?!

So far I like it. FI is still deployed so I'm down here by myself learning the area which stinks. I had only been down to visit 2-3 times before he left so it's new. I'm excited to start my new job though. Tomorrow there is an art festival that I might go to check it out.

You are so lucky!! Have you been to Charleston yet? Isle of the Palms is my favorite beach, just don't try to lay out close to the grass cause there are little crabs everywhere. Abbot Farms has the best peaches, especially white peaches. Do you like seafood? They have amazing she-crab soup. OMG!! I want to go there sooo bad!! What job are you starting?

SC IMO, is second only to WA for seafood. I am so jealous. Thats kinda funny about your job, I just got an interview for a mental health case aide in Bremerton for teenagers!!

I was staying down in Hilton Head with my parents when I moved and had some AWESOME sea food. Is it an inpatient facility you interviewed for? I interned at one before. I haven't worked with kids in a while so it will be a change.

Calindi-I've never been to RI for thier seafood, so I'll keep my seafood palate open for RI seafood!! and can I tell you that I bought nail polish yesterday called "Clambake" and it made me think of you and T.

I Love Hilton head. I am going to be so bummed out if we don't get to PCS to Beaufort. We'll probably get stuck in Yuma of Camp P. I don't have anything against Yuma except the trantulas (My best friend is PCSing to Tuscon tomorrow so that would be fun), but Camp P is like 15 mins from FIL's family and I can barely stand my FIL imagine how I'll feel surrounded by his whole family!!

Yay!!!! I think that as long as I have some friends where ever we go I'll be okay. I just want to know!!! I know that if I were still in the Navy, I would be picking orders right about now, but L won't give me any idea about when to expect them. He just said he'd call me one day and say we're going "_______". I can't wait for that day!!

I can't wait to hear where you're going, Sam! We won't have a base assignment until late 2013 after he finishes the military justice training. We're hoping for CP, though! Beauford sounds nice, too, though!

And ggirl - I'll likely be up for a few days the end of June, so I'll keep you posted! I'm going up for Memorial Day weekend, but will probably spend the whole time locked away with FI in our hotel room

GGirl, I'll let you know! I'm sitting here moping tonight cuz my guy isn't coming home to cuddle for 2 months... boo! I have half a mind to drive up and just crash at his hotel for the summer, but that would be totally impractical, irresponsible, and ultimately boring. But right now it sounds pretty good!

Calindi-I totally get it. The first day they leave is always the worst for me. Especially going to bed alone. That sucks. But now its weird for me when he comes back I'm not used to him being there so I wake up in the middle of the night startled and not remembering who is sleeping next to me lol.

Ahh!! That sounds like a super fun idea!! Beach should meet Stan in Cali, then they fly to the east coast, and thennnn we all meet and have a GTG!!!!! And I feel like Shan should be definitely be invited too!! It would be THE BEST if we were all stationed close enough to have regular GTG's.

I think I need some advice though Ladies, I'm totally torn. I want to go back to school to start working on getting my RN, but I'll only be able to do like 1 semester before we PCS. I've been with my parents for 3 weeks, and I'm trying to decide between moving back here, and staying with my in-laws. If I stay with my IL's they'll keep charging us rent. (which totally pisses me off), I'll still have to drive over an hour to get anywhere including my crappy job, I'll become even paler, I could come back here with my parents and live rent free, go to school, retake the test to get my CNA certification renewed, I'd just drive from WA to NC (like 6 days). My dad is a college teacher, so he could obviously help me get started back with school. It's not like my job in WA is anything to run back too (drive through coffee place). Here I have my parents, I'm closer to my sister and niece and nephew. If we get stationed on this coast I'll be able to scope out the housing situation. I think the biggest plus would be that I'd be happier annnnd we'd be able to save money. Especially the $500 a month that we pay my IL's.. Ugh.. What to do?!

ETA: I couldn't do this earlier since I posted while on the treadmill lol. Your IL's charge you rent?? I can't even imagine my IL's or my parents ever doing that unless I was unemployed and doing nothing with my life. I'm insulted on your behalf. Move. I'm sure your H would want you to be happy.

H is on board. He doesn't want me to sell my car since we've had it for only 6 months and he's afraid we'd loose alot of money on it. I know that I couldn't make that drive by myself.. or could I? lol.. yeah.. I'm like 80% yes, and 10% no and 10% wishing I had some more sangria
