Inexpensive Florist Recs?

Hey ladies. We are on a tight budget for our wedding & were wondering if any of you had any recommendations for good, inexpensive florists. I know there are some recommendations out there for excellent florists, but they are out of our price range. We are considering using Costco/Sams/Publix or something of the sort if need be, but I was wondering if you ladies had any better suggestions. Thanks in advance!

    Have you checked with Debbie @ Atmospheres aka DSR?  We found her to have pretty good pricing.  That said, we told her what look/colors we were looking for and let her get creative.  We didn't tell her specific types of flowers which can get a bit pricier doing it that way.

    Another option...we talked to our local Winn Dixie florist department and they told me that we could purchase our flowers elsewhere and they would do the arrangements for a nominal fee.  They also mentioned that if another bride had ordered flowers for the same time frame as our wedding, we could double up on their order and get a pretty good deal.  Not sure if this was specific to our store in Oviedo, but perhaps this could work elsewhere?

    Peddles!!!! She is awesome and inexpensive. She works from home so she doesn't have to overhead cost but she is fabulous!
    I looked into Publix too and was referred to the big Publix in the Winter Park Village, but I really didn't have a good feeling about it. I wanted simple and no roses and told that to the florist there and she kep showing me ideas of roses in iced beverage glasses with irridescent cellophane straw to hide the stems. That was not what I wanted at all and she didnt understand that. She did tell me her prices and they were the same if not more than Peddles.

    I second Debbie with DSR Designs. She really worked with my budget.

    Also, talk to the florists before you write them off for price.  People are really looking for busniess right now because with financials the way they are so many people are doing as much DIY as they can.  My venue, for example slashed their prices nearly in half for us!  The best advice anyone has given me was a friend who was recently married.  She told me "don't call and ask what their prices are, call and say 'this is how much I have to spend, this is what I want, are you able to help me?"  Amazingly so many people will cut down prices because they want your business and they know they will still make a good profit.  And if they aren't happy with your budget then they are welcome to just say no.

    We are using VIcki form Peddles, too, and I have to agree with everything that's been said about her.  She's got great vision, and can work with your budget.  Might as well meet with her just to see what she can do before you decide to do it yourself.

    I third Debra with Special Atmospheres Floral & Decor..She has done fabulous work and has really worked with me on my budget and even including some extras! Good luck!! :)

    Is the Deb everyone is talking about the same as Special Touches by Deb in Longwood? If not I'm using her and shes been wonderful about working within a budget and finding creative solutions to get us what we want.
