So this isn't the exact dress that I ordered, but the shape and silhouette is pretty similar. Mine has a beaded bodice, with similar pickups do this photo, and a bit of a train that we'll bustle after the ceremony/photos.
Question: Do I need to wear a veil with the dress, given the level of formality/dressiness? We're having a "simply elegant" outdoor wedding in the Sonoma wine country.
I keep going back and forth on whether I want a veil or not, but I lean towards none. Without a veil, what accessories (headband, flower, hair-broach thing, etc.) would you recommend with a dress like this? I will probably wear my hair in a low up-do at the back of my neck. Thank you!
Re: Do I need to wear a veil with this dress? Otherwise, what hair accessories?
Wearing a veil is a personal preference - I am not wearing one.
I am however, wearing a rhinestone hair comb.
[QUOTE]A veil has nothing to do with formality or dressiness, and it entirely a matter of personal preference. I think with that dress I would do no longer than a fingertip length veil so you don't cover up the detail on the back. If you don't want a veil (I personally think they are kind of fussy), you could do a jeweled comb, flower in your hair, fascinator, birdcage, headband....just about anything would look nice!
