My husband and I danced to Brad Paisely Shes Everything. My dad and I danced to Darius Rucker It wont be like this for long (although a close second choice was Jimmy Buffet Little Miss Magic).
Married June 2009, they are not new songs, but still great!

My fiance and I are both chemists and currently like the idea of "She Blinded Me With Science" as our first dance.
I'm awful with artists, but "Stealing Cinderella" is also a favorite

Our first dance is "Sparks" by Coldplay.
We're letting parents pick their own songs, and my dad LOVES country so he did pick "I Loved Her First" by Hartland. My FI's mom is still picking but she is leaning towards "I Hope You Dance" By Lee Ann Rhymes (sp?). She has been talked in and out of that song SO many times by so many different people, I just hope she picks a song that she likes!

If we do a parent's dance, I think think the father/daughter dance will be "Daddy's Little Girl" Dean Martin

If you're still looking for a country song for a first dance, I would highly recommend "Ready to Fall" by Meredith Edwards. Not a lot of people knew about her or this song, so it would be special and unique.

We've discussed so many songs, but i think our first dance will be to "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.

As for country songs, "Daddy's Hands" is a good father/daughter dance. I had planned on using it until my friend beat me to it. Brad Paisley has a good song too, drawing a blank on the title but he sings about a little blonde haired girl.

Not sure about a mother/son dance. But I think if you wanted to venture away from country, BoysIIMen had a song called "Mama" that was pretty good.

Good luck, I'm still working on this myself.

the father-daughter dance will be either Wild World (cat stevens), or I Loved Her First

a few other good country ones are "forever and ever amen", "When somebody loves you", and "god must have spent a little more time on you"

I absolutely love the song, even if I don't understand why he wants lyrics about someone apologizing for never being around to play as we dance (especially since we spend ALL of our free time together). But since he has shown absolutely no interest in anything to do with wedding planning, I basically give in to anything he wants because everything else is what I want. So far, he has picked our song, our cake topper (playful football couple haha), and our flower girl.

If I was gonna go country for my first dance I'd choose "love your love the most" by eric church OR "why don't we just dance" by josh turner if you wanna do something upbeat and fun. the fiancee isnt a huge country fan so we'll probably go with something else.

My first pick for father/daughter was "tough little boys" by gary allen, but I may switch to "wild world" by cat stevens. I heard it the other day on my ipod and it sounds like a father talking to his daughter, the sadness of a letting go but the love that goes with it... very good

We decided to have a couples dance in place of a wedding party dance... the guys in our wedding party don't dance.

"Little Miss Magic" by Jimmy Buffett for Father/Daughter (has a country feel to it)
"Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd for Mother/Son (can't get much more country than Skynyrd!)
