Reading venues

Hi!! I am looking for some advice concerning venues in the Philly suburb of Reading, and I am hoping that someone on this board could help! My fiance and I are considering the Reading Public Museum arboretum for our outdoor ceremony, and the reception at the Goggleworks (whose prices seem to be too good to be true!!) Has anyone attended an event at either of these venues?? How was the experience? Thanks!!

The Muesuem is always nice but you have to remember that there are no chairs allowed and it is not private so even though most people will stay clear of the wedding you might have one or two people who walk through your ceremony.

As for the goggle works I've never been but know a few people who did have some parites there and they said it was amazing the space is nice and there is pleanty of parking.

    Hope that helps.

We are using The Barn at Flying Hills in Reading very nice venue indoor and outdoor if you'd want to check it out

Thanks for the info on the museum! I didn't know that chairs aren't allowed... I think that will pretty much rule out that location. If you don't mind me asking, how is the pricing at the Barn at Flying Hills? We are on a pretty strict budget, so it has been tough searching for a venue. Thanks again for the help.

I think their new pricing is 1600 you get all the chairs and tables included for the indoors but you can't use their chairs outside... its a stupid rule but its one that they have. You also get the whole place from 8am-12pm I thought it was a good deal and its a very pretty place and pleanty of parking.
