Creative escort card/favor ideas

So i'm trying to find a way to combine the favors with the escort cards... but I'm completely out of ideas... I was going to do the kissing bells, but my FI doesn't really like that idea, and then i was going to make little french pastries, but on the week of the wedding, I don't think making 200+ of those is the best idea.... does anyone else have any creative inexpensive ideas? I don't mind DIY as long as I can do it in advance-like maybe a month before....

Candy.  Wrap up m&m's in tulle bags.  Wrap up hershey's kisses.  Make a chocolate spoon.  Make cookies and put them in clear bags tied with a ribbon.  Lollipops.  Bags of coffee.  Make jam and put it in little jars.

    Think edible.

ETA:  Put the favor in a box with the table assignment on the tag.  My DD got favor boxes that were really nice on clearance at Walmart.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • maybe small picture frames and inside you can put the guest name and table assignment?

Small picture frames are great. I got them as a favor and as the escort card as well. Once I got home I took the card out and put a small picture in it. Nothing like having things that multi-task :)

  • If you liked the idea of the pastries, maybe you could bake some chocolate chip cookies from scratch and package them well in advance.  They freeze very well.  Then on the day or two before the wedding you could tie the ribbon on or stickers or whatever.

  • I love edible favors...  Do you have a theme? what is the time of year?  You are not restricted to only candy favors...I've seen little honey jars, jams, maple syrup and limoncello!  all bottled and tied with a ribbon and tag.  Mini cakes or cookies and chocolate dipped pretzles or peppermint bark are always delicious.

Since my ceremony and reception are in a Botanical Center, I'm doing small potted plants in terracotta pots that I painted to match my colors.  Tying a ribbon and tag, and both favor and escort card will be taken care of.
