This is the place to AW where you are traveling soon, or where you've just been. I want to see all of the cool Honeymoon destinations, weekend getaways, etc.

DH and I (with the in-laws) are headed to Bodega Bay in 4 weeks for a family vacation. This is assuming I am able to travel. It is only a short drive away, so it's not like I would have to fly.

:-( No fun vacations this year....saving up for the wedding....but next June we will be going to the Greek Islands for our honeymoon! And possibly one other country....Italy is in the talks....can't wait!

Just going to Ocean City NJ for a week. But, we are staying at a B&B and really looking forward to getting away - even if its just to the shore!
My sister and BIL will be down with my two little nieces the same week - so we can have fun a the beach/boardwalk with the kids and relax at the B&B with each other.

Just got back from OK City - and heading off to Vegas from July 9th - 11th and we are renting out a 1 or 2 bedroom penthouse suite at the Aria hotel with a large group of friends , and it will be my birthday weekend..gonna be 32..yikes lol.

Then in October FI , friends and I head down to Anaheim , CA for Blizzcon( a video game convention) and doing a tour of disneyland and the area. It's a busy year

San Diego, CA at the end of July for Comic-con and then Laguna Beach, CA also at the end of July.

I have some pictures from last time we went to Laguna if you want to see them. I don't have them on this computer though.

San Diego! Holiday weekend coming up plus a few extra days. I'll be working part of it but not the weekend part! I can't wait. I'm turning my email off. Seriously. I really am. I swear. Off. Totally. No really. (I haven't done this for anything other than a flight in over 5 years. I'm a loser. Who do I think I am - the sec of state? I can turn the darned thing off.)

Hetshup I LOOOVE belize! I went diving at the Turneffe atoll (looks just like your second picture) very nice!

As for me, I am going to yellowstone for a horseback riding tour with my mom the end of June, and then I am going to a statistical genetics workshop for three days in Seattle the end of June into July. Then a week later, I am going to Denver for the national animal science conference. FINALLY, in August I am going to spend a week and a half with BF!! Most of my trips just involve work though.

As for future trips..who knows. BF and I have annual passes to Universal Orlando so we'll probably take his sister at least once this summer. I love flight benefits!

Hetshup, we just went to Napa for a couple of days. DH started a new job 3 days after our wedding. We had hoped to do a cruise this spring, but no dice. I cannot go on one past 24 weeks. (Stupid cruise line rules.)

Paint-- It's Paso Robles CA. Napa is known as wine country, but this part of the Santa Ynez valley, they have smaller vineyards ~ 200-600 bottles, as opposed to 2000 bottles. And yes, yes you can.

I'm going to Spain in 26 days!! And I'll finally get to see BF again! We'll be in Oviedo (northern part of the country, near the Bay of Biscay), Barcelona, Valencia, and Madrid. While we're in Madrid, we're taking a day trip to Toledo.

I have nothing to AW because BF is slow about putting up pictures of where he's been that I'll be going. And I forgot the name of the hotel we're staying at in Valencia, but it's gorgeous. But I am so excited.

To be honest though, it's more for the seeing BF part than the OMG Going to Spain part. It's been a very, very, long 8 months, and I've got 1 more to go.

Fun Post!

On June first the FI and i are traveling down the coast of Turkey. We'll do that for 2 weeks or so then head to the good old USA for some major wedding prep. I think we are going to manage a road trip through California before our wedding (SF and LA to visit friends)

We haven't really been anywhere this year yet, and don't plan on anywhere outside of GA/SC until our honeymoon, which leads me to.....

Dum-da-da-DUUUUUUUMMMM!

After months of planning and frustration, we have finally booked our honeymoon. As some of you may recall, we weren't planning on taking one at all because we had to use our honeymoon savings to repair our roof. My parents took pity on us and approved of us sacrificing fun for necessity, and offered to send us anywhere for a week as their wedding gift (and we are ETERNALLY grateful). We really wanted to go to Ireland, but my parents put a limitation of "No Europe" because of the volcano, so we went with P*nta Cana, Dominican Republic instead. We'll be staying in one of the Oceanfront (ends of the horseshoe) rooms at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro, and I cannot wait. Mid-August! Only 3 more months (and a couple of days...but who's counting).

When we originally thought we weren't going to get to go on a honeymoon, we decided to up our budget for our annual trip with the godfamily and stay a full week at one of the nicer hotels in Orlando. As it's the last trip without any godkids (the oldest will be old enough to join us next year), we wanted to stay at Universal so we could take advantage of the Express Pass stuff for rollercoasters and Harry Potter Land and be within walking distance of CityWalk. We got a great deal at the Portofino Bay hotel, so now we're also spending a week in "Italy" in Sept.

After that, my vacation days are shot until August of 2011, so aside from quick weekend trips to Atlanta/Savannah, we won't be going anywhere for a long long time.

EDIT: really Knot? P*nta is a dirty word? Christ on a cracker.

Acro that is REALLLLLLY exciting. Sometimes pity trips are worth it. And enjoy your time without the Godkids, it'll be fun with them, but fun for different reasons.

FI and I spent a weekend in Connecticut for ricky's wedding in March, a week in Belize in April, and a weekend at Disneyworld for meet-the-parents at the end of April.

October - long weekend at Disney for Epcot Food & Wine Fest

November - Charlotte NC and Charleston SC for Thanksgiving

December - long weekend at Disney for Disney Holiday Festival

January - Long weekend in Cleveland for bridal shower

March - Week in Austria for research

May - Nashville for conference, Colorado for Memorial Weekend

With all that traveling, we honestly have no friggin idea when or where we're going to go for a honeymoon.

September - Beijing (work/fun)
October - vacation with the boyfriend! Not sure where - he says he's planning it and it will be a surprise (proposal, perhaps?). Probably Latin America somewhere.

Probably another trip to Mexico somewhere in there for work, too.

It's going to be a really cool rest of the year!
