Pittsburgh Appraiser??

Can anyone suggest a jewelry appraiser in Pittsburgh?  Also interested in how much is a typical fee to pay.  Thanks!

    I'm sure most jewelry stores have a day that apprisers come in. I would contact a few non-chain ones. In DC, they charged me $40.

    I went to Orr's Jewlers in Sewickly. I don't recall offhand how much it was, much more than $50 though. I had a very thorough appraisal done and the guy who did it was certified out the wazoo.

    Also, my experience was that I had to make an appointment if I didn't want to leave it. I have a family piece so that was not an option for me.

    Make sure you know your diamond very well before you go (any imprefections) and verify it's the same before you take it home.

    BTW, I think my appr was $125.
