VENT: I am so angry. So I sent my mother the invite proof and she starts fussing me out about my last name not being on the invitation. Okay after explaining that to her why is wasnt on there we moved to the next topic.
My ceremony starts at 6pm and that's what I put on the invitations. Well according to her it should have put 5:30pm. No, Im not telling adults what time they should be there for a wedding. They should know. She thinks people will walk in at 6pm. I said if they walk in at 6pm, they wont be witnessing the ceremony. I am not playing. My officiant will charge us more money if the ceremony starts late so I am not paying money so that people can stroll in whenever they want.
I tried to explain to her that if I put 5:30, that people will come earlier and that is not far to have my guests waiting.
I'm so annoyed right now. I need to calm down

Have you ever seen Bridezillas? The one thing they all have in common is a lack of respect for people's time...
[QUOTE]This was suggested by my family as well and I don't like it at all; I think of it this way - <strong>if I was a guest and I saw 5:30 pm on the invite, and I show up at 5:15 and the wedding starts half hour after the scheduled time, I would not be ok</strong>. agree completly. </div><div>
</div><div>it is rude of your guests to not give them enough time to get to the ceremony on time. they are grown adults and should know when to get to the ceremony for a 6:00 wedding.</div>

I agree with this completely. Maybe for the people your mom knows will be late to tell them to get there early as they cannot enter after 6 or something. To put an earlier time on your invites than the actual start time would bother me too, like others have said.
