Nail Damage

I got acrylic nails for my wedding which is 23 days out.  Well the first day I got it I jammed my nail so bad that it seperated my real nail from the nail bed.  I had to take the acrylic off because of the pain and now the real nail is barely holding on.  Anyone have any tricks to keep the nail in place till the wedding?  Should I get another acrylic on?  Would the gel nail polish help?  I don't want it to be ugly for my big day....

[QUOTE]If your real nail is separated from the nail bed, there is likely no way to save it. That nail is most likely coming off and will have to grow back. I would NOT do anything to it like acrylic or even gel polish; I'd see a doctor about it to make sure it doesn't get infected. The last thing you need right now is to get an infection from manicure tools or nail products. I don't think any reputable nail technician would touch it with a ten-foot pole. For your wedding, I'd recommend that you come up with ways to discreetly camouflage that hand for photos.
