Has Anyone Used Bill Hansen Catering?

Good Morning!

I have been in email contact with them for a while and feel that they aren't good at communicating.  The catering manager has told me several times she would send me a proposal, and I still haven't received one yet.  I really liked the sample menus I saw and was really interested in reviewing a proposal and going for a tasting, but I'm getting nervous about the lack of communication.

Am I being too impatient?  Has anyone used them and had a good/bad experience?

Thank you!

He catered my best friend's wedding in 2005 and to this day, we all still talk about how amazing the food was!!!! so my suggestion is don't give up because it's worth it =)

Thanks for the responses!  I will give them a little more time to get back to me.  It's just so frustrating that the other caterers we are looking into respond so quickly!

They are one of the best in Miami. Bill Hansen has an excellent reputation and has been around for a long time.

I had my wedding at Villa Woodbine and had an amazing experience with them.  It did take a little while to get my proposal but the closer we got to the date the more involved they became and my wedding went off without a hitch - everything was perfect and Janet was even there to coordinate my entire ceremony.  The food was amazing - every single bite of it.  I cant recommend them enough and that is the honest truth! Give them some time and you wont regret it.

  • I JUST had my wedding at Villa Woodbine and although the food was better than any other wedding food (my guests agreed), the process to work with them was so painful I'm not sure I would go through it again. They were horrible communicators and if it weren't for my husband and I being so organized and diligent, I wonder if anything would have been done with them. They also tried to cancel our tasting two days before (it was one week before Christmas and three weeks to our wedding) when they had originally selected the date and we'd already paid hundreds of dollars in airline cancellation fees to change our flights to accomodate them! The food on our event date wasn't exactly what we'd ordered but was still good. This clearly shows they're just not organized but just have an excellent chef.
