I live in the Chesterfield area and just recently stumbled upon a cake store down in the Valley called Whipt Cream that seriously blew me away. It's kind of tucked back by Wildhorse Grill, and probably has the best buttercream I've tasted in all of my life. They are one of the very very few bakers in the entire St. Louis area to make Italian buttercream, which is a meringue buttercream that apparently takes 4 hours to make. It's worth it. Picture eating clouds of happiness on top of moist, rich cake that perfectly balance each other with the richness of the cake and the delicacy of the buttercream. Add in the custom cakes in all sizes, shapes, colors, flavors, themes, etc and you have Whipt Cream. They do cupcake stands and cakes of all sizes, but i highly suggest checking out the gallery on their website. There were a couple of pictures that still have me questioning how the duece they made them. The customer service is phenomenal as well, I went in there to try them out and one of the owners, Carol, was so sweet making sure I had napkins and water and silverware and answering all the questions I fired at her. They have my endorsement all the way!

I live in St. Charles County and all my vendors are in the same area.
Location- Bear Creek golf Club-  Ceremony and reception all in one place.  Amazing food, we got lots of compliments from guests.  They do most the work so there is very little to worry about.

Susie G's  I've had their cake an several occasions its always yummy and moist.  They are very reasonbly priced and they made exactly what we wanted, they even matched the color from a color swatch i gave them.

DJ- Digital Sounds  We had very different ceremony music and there was no problem getting the music.  He brings hais entire library so he can take requests and they are very professional.

Florist-  Marry Me Flowers All the flowers were gorgous.  Shes very creative.  She can get flowers other shops may not be able to get.  All the flowers survived a hot June wedding.

Dress- Robins Bridal Mart they are very friendly and have great customer service and in house alterations.  They have great prices and a big selection.

I'm not going to go into crazy detail about every vendor because it would take FOREVER for me to type all the amazing things I have to say about these wedding vendors. Walter Knoll Florist9926 Kennerly Rd
    Sappington, MO 63128
    (314) 633-8800We met with many different florists but when we went to Walter Knoll Florist and met Judy we knew she would be able to provide us with the modern, sophisticated and elegant look that we were going for within our budget. Judy was a true delight to work with. She is committed to service excellence and cares about her product and her clients. She really listened to all of our needs and wants and delivered exactly what we asked for. Our budget was not the biggest and Judy and her staff were able to provide quality service and products at a very affordable price. The end result was amazing! I am so happy I chose to work with Walter Knoll’s. Thank you for taking care of us and providing the special touch. #1 Event Planning & Wedding Creations 314-892-8401What a great calligrapher and magnificent artist ! I was fortunate to find Jenny through a friend that works at Mercy (St. John’s) Hospital.Jenny not only provided my calligraphy but personally helped me design and made my save the dates, invitations, escort cards, map, menu, and thank you cards. I wanted a personal invitation suite that was unique and reflected my husband and mine personalities. She drew a personal drawing of my husband and I , the church for our ceremony, and us as children. Everything coordinated perfectly !!! When I realized her keen eye for design and her creativity. I went on to work with her on my cake design, flowers, bridal gown, and bridesmaids dresses. I would talk to her about what I wanted , she sketched my ideas , and provided me with a design board. That way when I entered my appointments I was prepared and the vendor was able to help me with my selection. As we worked together I placed each board together as a group gave me visual perception of my wedding. When she found out how disappointed I was with my reception hall she visited Royal Orleans and sketched the room layout. Then she totally transformed it into a totally new room. She was able to artistically put together a story book photo album from pictures I had from my engagement, bridal shower, wedding ….. LOVE IT!!!I highly recommend her !!! The Makeup Bar & Day Spa7522 Big Bend BlvdSt.Louis, MO 63119314.882.4353 or 314.645.2225.Donna ( who works with Jenny ) recommended this location and it was perfect. We loved this private location in Webster Groves for getting our make-up and hair styled on the wedding day. Sarah was such an amazing woman to work with. From my initial meeting with her at a my trial (which was an important day because it was the day of my bridal shower !!), to my wedding day - she was nothing but professional and supportive. She listened to my wants and needs and made me look and feel stunning. We reserved the quit little house and were served OJ, muffins and fruit. Perfect way to start the morning. Will be using them on a regular basis. Great experience. Highly recommend.Royal Orleans Banquet Hall O 314 487 70062801 Telegraph Road

My overall advice is keep searching for a venue. While our experience was not a complete disaster, it left much to be desired. I would suggest just renting a VFW hall rather than pay the extra money here. If you decide to go against my advice and book here any way get every detail in writing. Expect little service from staff members.PositiveGreat compliments to the chef on providing excellent good. The bar attendant made the best of a bad situation with excellent, friendly manners, DJ was apologetics c of the miscommunication from Royal Orleans Staff and provided excellent service.Negative Poor to little communication First meeting I should have left. They say they specialize in theme weddings, when I asked for some suggestions they had no idea and told me to look on the internet. I called ahead to ask to look at their invitation books. When I arrived they were not prepared and gave me a torn up, out dated, book. Said someone must have the rest. I received a letter one month before my wedding day. It was to inform me of their decorating policy. ONE MONTH - most of my items were purchased and I was not allowed to use them. They promised me that they would totally help me with decorating and arranging the room. Absolutely to busy to help and I had to arrange the tables with help from a friend.I discussed with them group seating. They promised someone to be stationed at door and the service was free. I guess it was a free service - you didn’t provide this service. You should of told me and I could have asked a friend instead of the mass confusion. Promises 2 bar attendants for over 200 people where only one provided. I could go on and on …..Trinity Lutheran ChurchDavid B. Marth, Senior Pastor1805 South 8th Street, Saint Louis, MO 63104(314) 231-4092 Office(314) 231-5430 FaxBeautiful historical landmark. Pastor Dave and Barb were excellent to deal with. Pastor Dave was everything that we hoped he would be! During our meeting with him to discuss our ceremony, he was warm and knowledgeable. He outlined a beautiful ceremony for us that was meaningful and romantic but still sounded fresh and completely original. He had our guest and us laughing when he brought up the fact my husband was standing before him with a broken ankle ( which happened the week before our wedding ) to saying on my notes I had given him beforehand that my husband could be very demanding with exclamation marks. Everyone thought he was great and they said that they thoroughly enjoyed listening to his insightful words. I strongly recommend Pastor Dave for your upcoming wedding!Blossoms BridalCall: 636.527.7130

There are so many good positive things one could say about Blossoms Bridal a few are 1) Everyone that works there sincerely cares about each one of their brides. (Compare the BBB report and facts will show their exceptional customer service). Not like some chain stores in the area. 2) They have a very nice selection of gowns 3) . The staff is very friendly and not at all pushy, 4) the prices are just right. Only problem was at the reception the bustle would not fasten and stay up the day of my wedding. Even though it was the only bakery selection we had through the venue, I was glad it was McArthur's , given their reputation. They were very accommodating regarding any changes we wanted to the cake. Our cake turned out beautiful and delicious. We had many positive comments from guest and it was gone quickly. Only complaint is they forgot to put the cake topper on and the photographer took pictures of it sitting on the table. Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis/South I-554200 MidAmerica Lane, Saint Louis, Missouri, USA 63129
Tel: 1-314-894-1900 Donna from Event Planning and Wedding Creations recommended this location and it was perfect. She reserved a room with a double tub for Mark and I to relax in. Hotel is newer and extremely well-appointed. It's hard to believe this is a Hampton, as the quality of the property and staff would lead me to believe this hotel was a much more upscale brand. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Front desk staff was exceptionally friendly. Best surprise was Jenny and Donna decorated the room with rose petals and candles. BEAUTIFUL JOB!!Men's Wearhouse SOUTH COUNTY MALL (314) 892-6810We were initially wary to go to Men's Wearhouse for tuxes because they are a subsidiary of David's Bridal but we needed a vendor that provides service state wide.I'll say that the tuxes were clean, in good shape, and the color match of the vests/ties was exactly what we had seen when we made our reservation. However, my husband , father in law, and father’s tux and didn’t fit well. The pants were HUGE. My husband had to pull his pants almost up to his armpits to make the length look ok. . . My father in law said the girl who fitted them said that big & tall were the same thing & ordered the long length in addition to larger waistline. What a mess! They said they would correct this but his father's were not altered as promised and he had to alter them himself right before the wedding. Also, my brother's coat was too big across the shoulders. My advice is that they probably would be ok to use, but be very careful about who does the fitting/measurements, and also try to schedule the pickup of the tuxes a day or two before you actually need to wear them. It shows in the pictures, and made for an uncomfortable day for several of our guys - especially the most important one - the groom!!!
