Nope. I got my cherry blossoms done just in time for the wedding. My dress didn't go all the way to the ground so the ones on my feet and legs were visible too. It was never a discussion.

I'm covering mine for the ceremony and some of the pictures. It's in a synagogue, so I feel like it's respectful to cover them. For the pictures, I know that my FMIL and my father don't like them, so I want them to have photos that don't show them, so that they'll be happy. I feel like pulling on a bolero for part of the day is a small thing I can do for some of the important people in my life.

Neither of us have them and we never will, but that's just us. I'm petrified of needles on top of not really having a desire for any. My parents would be okay with it but not thrilled and I just found out a few weeks ago that his parents would flip out. "We're just not tattoo people" is what FFIL said. Well neither am I, but I wouldn't be mad at someone else for doing that to their own body.

Yes

How many and of what?
One, kind of hard to describe though. Dark blue/ light blue downward pointing wings (for lack of a better word, no feathers, just the shape of wings) that make the shape of a heart where they meet, on my right hip.

Does your H have tattoos?
Yes, he has three.

What do your parents/ILs think?
Dad/Stepmom didn't care as long as I paid for it, thought about it for at least 6 months, and wasn't living with them anymore.
Mom/Stepdad did the "it's your body, do what you want, but I don't really approve" speech.

ILs don't care

Are you planning on getting more?
Yes, a quote along my left ribcage - "We accept the love we think we deserve"

Do you have any tattoos? Yes

How many and of what? 6. I'm planning to cover the first (my only implusive, "I'm 18!!!" decision) and my last is a memorial for my grandparents. They're all easily hidden, minus the one on my wrist. I have no idea what the specific prices were anymore; I think $50 was the lowest and $150 was the highest. Although, 2 were free so I guess they were the lowest :P

What do your parents/ILs think? My mom was a little upset over the first one, but now she rolls with it. My dad doesn't care. FFIL can't possibly mind them bc FMIL is covered with color lol

Are you planning on getting more? Just one, for my son. It will cover the first tat that I don't really like anymore

I will not be covering my ink for the wedding, though I am sure my mother will ask me to. Only 2 will show, but I'm not worried about it.

Does your H have tattoos? No, but he wants 2 pin-up girls; one on each arm; a devil and an angel...I keep trying to talk him out of getting "people"

What do your parents/ILs think? My parents weren't to happy at first, but now they don't care. My ILs could care less

Are you planning on getting more? Not at this time, if I do I'd have to think long and hard about it. I thought about my first one for over a year.

Mine was $80
Since mine is on my foot and I have a long dress I won't have any problems covering it up

I have 10 tattoos. Three hearts. One on my wrist, ankle and one under my collar bone. Stars on the other wrist. My sister's initials under my neck. Jack Skellington on my shoulder. A cupcake on my arm, small birds on my arm too. A kingdom hearts quote "One Sky, One Destiny". Sugar Skulls on my leg.

Does your H have tattoos?

He does. He probably has around 5.

What do your parents/ILs think?

I have no idea what my MIL thinks.

Are you planning on getting more?

Yup. H and I want to get something together. I also plan to get something for my daughter.

This is the quote of Kingdom Hearts. It's really bad picture because it was taken right after I got it. It's an old picture.

The only other picture I have on the laptop is a wedding photo. You can see our tattoos. Obviously, I didn't bother to cover my tattoos. I really didn't care.

My mom this it's awesome. She has 2 that she got within the past 3 years. She wants to get a matching tattoo with me.

My dad always swore that he'd disown me if I ever got a tattoo, so I was really nervous when I went to his house and forgot that I was wearing a tanktop that showed my tattoo. He didn't freak out like I thought he would. He was just like "Oh, Sonya. You got a tattoo. You didn't get one on your hand, did you?" (that threw me off).

Are you planning on getting more?
Yes, I want to add "I'll fly with you" under my current one, and then I'll get the matching one with my mom. (:

What do your parents/ILs think? It's really so small and most people don't even notice it. So I don't think my parents or his parents really care.

I've got "Tiny Dancer" on my right hip. I'm a HUGE Elton fan, and was a dancer until I was 17.

On my right ass cheek, I've got "Da todo sin disculpa."

Does your H have tattoos? He has 3 as well. He wants two of his covered. One he got in high school that says "Make money" with this big ugly dollar sign in the background. The other one is a swirly design that he hates. The tattoo that he loves is a phoenix on his rib cage that he got done in Thailand, It is a bamboo tattoo.

What do your parents/ILs think? My mom took me to get my first tattoo. I was 15. My dad was absolutely PISSED. He told me he'd kick me out if I ever got another one under his roof. I did, and hid it from him for years. It worked until the draw strings of my pants came loose and my pants slid down a bit. He saw it before I could pull them up. He was pissed all over again, but he turned out to be all talk. Oh well. Seanzoid's parents don't care.

Are you planning on getting more? Yes! I have one idea that I've been in love with for a couple of years now. Planning on getting it after the wedding. I would like an old fashioned pocket watch on my left forearm. This would represent time, and how it heals. The hands will be set on midnight to represent a new day. FI and I are also getting our wedding date around our ring fingers.

on my lower left back. My wedding dress is open back, so I'm happy people will be able to see it on the wedding day

Does your H have tattoos? no, he's against getting tattoos himself

What do your parents/ILs think? my parents freaked when I first got it at 18, but are used to it now. future in laws don't care.

Are you planning on getting more? everytime anyone talks tattoos I want to get more, but I haven't yet. Probably will in the future

Two. I've got a tribal design with some flowers and greenery across the top of my back. In the middle it says "Out of night comes day, out of day comes light" in Hebrew. (Mitoch halayla ba hayom, mitkoch hayom boke'aor -- if you were curious. I think I have that right-ish) That one covers up a crappy little tribal with flowers I had on my shoulder blade. I also have a tramp stamp that's some yellow and red flames with a flat bottom.

Does your H have tattoos?
No. He's talked about what he would want if he were to get one, but I'm not sure he ever will.

What do your parents/ILs think?
My mom took me to get my first one. She signed and paid for it for my 17th birthday -- that's the one I got covered up. My ILs are fine with them. MIL and SFIL both have tattoos. H's grandma asked to get a closer look at mine the first time she saw me in the summer. She was kind of put off at first, but by the time we left her house that afternoon she said it was pretty cool!

Are you planning on getting more?
Yes, eventually. I can't decide what/where though. I would like my flames added to somehow, and maybe my tribal too. I want the Minneapolis skyline as well.

Nope, no tattoos between H and me. I can't think of anything I want permanently on my body. My sister has a tattoo, and I don't think my parents care, although they have different standards for us, so they might freak if I ever changed my mind and got a tattoo.

What do your parents/ILs think? My parents don't care. Dad has several and Mom has been considering one for a while. One of the ones on my ankle is for my Mom (lily of the valley, which is May's birth flower, the month she was born). His parents hate tats. His mom cried when he got his first one, but she's gotten used to the idea. She knows we have them, but they rarely show. We had a discussion about tattoos and wedding dresses. She went off on a rant about how distracting they are, peeking out from under the dress. I just chuckled. She likes me otherwise, so I don't care

Are you planning on getting more? We both are. He has a design he wants to complete on his arm, and a few other ideas. My next one will be a drawing he did, on my right side. I've wanted a larger back piece for a long time, and sort of know what I want, but I'd need to draw it out.

All of my pics are scattered over various computers, but my favorite one is the one on my ribs. It's a red swan surrounded by dark woods.

How many and of what? 8, the largest & most recent is a dragon with flowering branch, the smallest is behind my right ear and is a symbol for Sagittarius.

Does your H have tattoos? No, he never really wanted one.

What do your parents/ILs think? My mom is cool with it, it pretty much is a requirement to be in my family. The ILs they know but his father only sees what he wants to see and insists I don't have any. They are great people, it has never been an issue.

Are you planning on getting more? If the mood strikes me.

Do you have any tattoos? How many and of what? Yep. One on my left ribcage. It is a oriental lily stalk to coordinate with my brother's set of 6 star tattoos. He got 4 stars, for each sibling, and colored 2 in for those who were miscarried. I got 4 open lilies and 2 semi-opening buds with smoke through it. My other sister is going to do something similar, but a different design, same concept.

What do your parents/ILs think? My dad was really disappointed. My mom thought it was cool, she liked what it represented. Although, she and my dad are divorced, so she probably liked it BECAUSE my dad didn't. Lol. In-laws don't really care. FSIL got one with me, and I don't really care about what the other one FSIL thinks.

Are you planning on getting more? Meh....probably not. Mine was pretty big and although meaningful and I love it, I don't see myself doing more. I want everything hidden and somehow flowing together. (I don't know why I can't unbold the response?)

How many and of what? 3 - a tribal bird on my back/shoulder, a pawprint on my foot, and 2 pawprints + a silhouette of one of my dogs on my side
Does your H have tattoos? FI is covered. Full sleeves on both arms, onto his hands (one on his palm), one on his back, some on his chest, stomach, and on both legs
What do your parents/ILs think? My mom and dad weren't thrilled when I got my first one. Now they don't care... mom understands that the few I have all have significant meaning to me. The don't care about FI's... although it makes him a little intimidating if you don't know him. But he is such a giant goofball, and my family loves him. My FILs don't care about mine, given how many their son has. LOL. FMIL actually kicked FI out of the house for his first one... now she doesn't care, and in fact, she has one herself AND took FI's younger sister to get her first one.
Are you planning on getting more? Eventually, yes. I just have to figure out where I want them. I want to fix the one on my side, first, though, as it has some scar tissue that makes it look perpetually bruised

Don't have any pics on this computer, otherwise I'd PIP.

Cost - mine ranged from free (BF at the time had a kit and did most of his own... it's also the crappiest of my tattoos) to $75 for the pawprint/dog on my side. None of mine are really big, though, so I didn't expect them to be high cost. I suspect my next ("gemini" dragons which I am still designing) will be pricey, which is partially why I haven't gone through with it yet.

Covering? My dress doesn't cover the one on my shoulder. The others will be covered. I'm sure my grandma would prefer it not show, but she'll have to deal with it (she also didn't want me to purchase a strapless gown, but I did). In fact, at our wedding, the B&G plus 3 of the 6 BMs and MOG will all have visible tattoos. It's part of who we are, so we embrace it

Yes.

1. purple iris with a heart on my ankle bone (for my Grandma...she always grew those around her house)
2. my kitty cats and their paws as an ankle wrap on my left ankle
3. a ying yang on my ying yang...dumb college thing
4. a wolf on my hip. My 1st husband was native american and it was his family crest so to speak
5. 3 birds up my rib cage. It's for Bob Marley's "Three 3 little birds". it's the kids and my theme song (don't worry about a thing...cuz every little thing's gonna be alright).

6. an infinity symbol w/ a daisy on it. It matches FI and it is our wedding flower. I just got that 3 weeks ago.
7. I had a wedding band tattooed, but that was removed

a very large cross on his back, an infinity symbol (for us) and a superman tattoo (for his brothers)

Do you have any tattoos? How many and of what? Yup- 3. An owl on my right inner ankle, a cartoon crab on my left inner ankle (Crabby from the Mutts comic strip by Patick McDonnell), and the phases of the moon on my back.

Does your FI have tattoos? No. He isn't against the idea but has never thought of something he wanted permanently.

What do your parents/ILs think? My mom wasn't really thrilled but she's gotten used to it, and kind of likes the owl. Guarantee she'll hate my next one. My dad doesn't really express an opinion but probably wishes I didn't have any. My FFIL probably doesn't know that I have any- I've only been around him in cold-weather situations and they're covered if I wear pants. I don't really have a sense that he would express his thoughts on them.

Are you planning on getting more? Indeed. After the wedding (though I love my ink and am looking forward to my next design, I just didn't want something super-visible for my wedding), I'm getting a fairly big piece on my back/shoulder- a calavera (think Mexican Day of the Dead skull) with loads of flowers. After that, we'll see. No other ideas brewing at this time.

I've always wanted to get some done, it's just plucking up the courage to do it that has stopped me, the tattoos I want are:

The Chinese letters for courage, strength and creativity on my wrist

A phoenix (not sure where I would put it though)

5 large lillies and 3 small ones on my torso (one large one each for my siblings and 1 small one each for my nieces and nephew)

I want BWMW possibly tattooed on my other wrist or maybe on my ankle (this is my g.parents initials, they were maried for 70 years and I want my marriage to last as long if possible)

My mother would probably have a fit (judging by her reaction to my brothers tattoos) but then she would get over it, FI doesn't have any but he would like a Calla Lily tattooed on his arm for his Mother.

FIL's probably wouldn't care.
