# of dress fittings???

Am I the only one who thinks it's crazy to have 3-4 dress fittings? Am I missing something? Is this necessary? Any of you ladies been through this already? Can you share your experience?

I had to buy my dress a size up to accommodate my bust, but it's too big in the waist. So...I need the waist taken in, the length taken up, and a bustle. When should I start this process? The end of the Summer?

Re: # of dress fittings???

  • I had one fitting and then will need to do another for only the bustle.

I LOVE my dress vendor (Wedding Shoppe <clicky in Minnesota).  Measurements were precise and while I was between two sizes, I trusted them and the first fitting FIT LIKE A GLOVE. I took the dress home with me after that.  My weight and height never flucuates.  I bought shoes w/ 2 inches. If I get a shoe w/ 3.5 inche heel, I won't need heming (which is great bc I often wear higher heels).

I'll need to take it to someone to get the bussel done  - but that's it!

Everyboyd's unique and different. Plan for 3-4 fittings, but be content if 1 fitting does it all. Best wishes!
