Recommend your longline bra...

My first fitting is rapidly approaching and I need to figure out my undergarments. Any suggestions for good longline bras or even regular strapless bras?? I am not sure what will work best yet. TIA

Get cups sewn in, my seamstress told me longlines move around and flatten you out.

I think mine is a body by victoria VS strapless bra. I HATE long line bras. They are not comfortable.

I had cups sewed in. I am only a B cup so I'm not sure if you would be as comfortable.

are you a member of the Big TaTa Society like myself? If so, forgo the cups-sewn-in or the strapless and get a long line. They are wonderous.

Mine is David's Bridal. I love it so much, I have worn it multple times after the wedding.

I should add my dress is corset with boning, so it holds my bra and everything in place.

Well my bra size is 34D and here is a pic of my dress. I don't remember if it had much boning in it.

I'm no expert, but I rec a longline for you. Make sure it's the right material so it doesn't add bulk under your dress (in the waist). Since you're chest is bigger, and your dress is strapless, I think that will hold up the best.

The reason I asked is because if you had straps or a corset back it may change the fit and you could get away with strapless. I had some strapless bra thing that glued to my sides, but I had straps so it was just to keep the girls in place and give them some lift, the dress really held me up/in on its own.

Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to try a longline, maybe try the one Amer recommends and try it on with the dress. And see what my seamstress says too.

Is it weird that I am dreading my first fitting?? I think I am just scared that there will be issues with my dress.

I agree with MH, I think a longline would be the best for you.

I really like the one I had because the boning helped to keep everything in, and also, the litte V between the cups helped the ladies stay up. I originally had another one, but it was much bulker and it really showed in my midsection.

I'll ditto the longline. I too have 34Dish - depends on exactly where I go - 34D was perfect for the longline I got from Davids Bridal - It's similar to Amer's, and while I've tried it on with my dress (strapless sweetheart), I can't mention how it will feel for the whole day.

So being a B cup like me then, you guys would suggest getting cups sewn in?

My dress has one strap over the shoulder- would that be best, or would a push up bra with one strap option (convertible) ?

I bought THIS ONE made by Maidenform. The plunge in the front and low back were perfect for my dress. I also liked that it was nice and smooth, had elastic that helped suck me in a little more, and it was cheap! I bought mine from a seller on eBay, but it looks like JCPenney and Amazon sell it too.
