second thoughts

I am having second thoughts. Not about marriage.. But about my dress. I found the dress on a website, then went into a local bridal shop. They just got that dress in a week earlier. It was my size and the color I wanted. I tried it on and Fell in love with it. So I brought my parents back to the place and they bought it. Well I got some of my bridal pics back the other day and I thought I liked them, but now looking at the pictures im not so sure I do. Im not sure if Its just me, but I think it makes me look a little bigger than I am. It just makes my hips look wide, and they truly arent. I would go buy another dress but this one was expensive. Im not sure if im just stressing for no reason or if I really dont like it? Maybe its just the pictures.

Your out of your mind! You look great in those pictures and what wide hips?? The dress type really suits you and I think you initially loved the dress then you should stick with it! You look gorgeous and I am sure everyone else would say the same. Maybe if it bothers you that much, you could get a cheaper shorter reception dress? That seems to be popular and I saw some for $500 dollars or less.

You're stressing.

I think every bride on this board has had a second thought. I had second thoughts about my dress. Although my mistake was I kept seeing dresses everywhere in the bridal magazines I was reading. I immediately stopped purchasing them once I realized what it was doing.

Do you REALLY think people will be more focused on your hips then they are on you? Doubt it.

A) You're already ridiculously beautiful. The dress is just going to make you even more spectacular.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure everybody goes through this.

C) Try to remember what brought you to loving that dress in the first place. Once I realized it, I fell in love with my dress all over again.

You chose it for a reason, a beautiful, beautiful, BEAUTIFUL reason.

You're stressing. Breathe

At the end of the day you're POSITIVE about that, there are certain alternations that may be able to be done to altar the hip thing...

Ditto everything kamarks said. I find myself to be very organized/easygoing and hardly care about details. However! Planning this wedding has had be second guessing EVERYTHING...

There are just too many options out there for everything. I pick one thing, buy it, see something else and fret. It's a cycle. Your dress is very very beautiful. You said so yourself that you fell in love with it. It's almoslike the word 'coincedence'. It seems like a normal word....but say it like 25 times back to back...sounds funny. I think there is an element of overly looking into any one particular detail that can drive anyone crazy

Ditto everything said here. Your pictures were gorgeous and you didn't look even a little bit big. Just take a step back from the photos and think about how you feel in the dress. I think it gets really easy to overthink these things, especially when we're all constantly looking at other options.

Don't stress. I'm sure this is the right dress for you!!!

Thanks everyone. I guess I am just stressing out.. I really do love the dress and on the wedding day its not like ill really be looking at my self (except getting ready). I have bigger things to worry about than this dress.

I couldn't agree more! You looked fantastic in the dress! I think sometimes we only concentrate on what we think is bad about ourselves and in all reality know one will think that at all! To be honest I've been having second thoughts about my dress just because it's not really tradtitional ... but after trying it on again i think it looks great i feel sort of comfortable and well i just tell myself i bought it and spent entirely way to much money on it so end of story!

Your pics came out sooo nice!! This may sound cheesy, but I always feel like the brides at the weddings I've been to have such a glow and big smile that they look beautiful no matter what. Definitely don't second guess it.... the dress looks great on you!!

Thank you ladies. I appreciate yalls nice comments. I know its just stress. I looked at other dresses and I still loved mine. I guess im just freaking out about everything right now. There is just SO much going on. Well ill put this out of my mind and not think about it again. Thank yall!
