It's Tuesday

How is everyone?

I got alot of homeowork done, too bad I'm the only one who does stuff early, so I can't respond to anything since nobody has done it haha.

I'm making this for dinner-http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/guy-fieri/dirty-ps-garlic-ginger-chicken-thighs-recipe/index.html
sub orange juice for lime juice, I didn't like the orange last time.

I have some more homework to do tonight, and actually have to go to class tomorrow night.
Sometimes being an adult sucks, my MIL got free tickets to wicked tomorrow night, and Its my first day of this class so I can't skip it. :( Wicked is my favorite too!

Didnt' get to go rollerblading last night due to the rain, maybe tonight.

Re: It's Tuesday

  • Britt - That sucks... I LOVE Wicked. I've seen it 3 times! Well, heck, I love all musicals. Wicked is #2 all time for me.

I'm so sore from working out yesterday. Best and worst feeling. H was working on a music video (I think?) all day yesterday and I was already in bed when he got home. Boo.

[QUOTE]Swag your H seriously sounds like a badass. Edie: I was stuck in meetings all day!11!! Mr. Swag: Oh really?  I hung out with Britney all day.  Tough life.

This just made me laugh way hard.

I made it in to work and that all that matters to me today. I can't seem to warm up since coming back to work.

anyways FI might be coming home on Friday so I am excited.

  • Swag, what's number one? I haven't seen Wicked, but hear that it's amazing.

Apple, we're up to -39 today. Much improved from yesterday!

I have a pretty light day at work. Mostly prepping for other stuff, with a few meetings thrown in. I have to make a plan for a sub for tomorrow though - DD has no school and I have no sitter.

Trying to pick our next two plays. Busy few months ahead, and I have to plan the wedding. I guess I need to ask my bms and pick out some stuff. I'm so low maintennance when it comes to this sort of thing, but it's time to get it done!

  • Mr. Swag is totally a BA, he just doesn't know it. He went to LA to do some pre-production work for Fashion Star, and on the last day he was there Jessica Simpson was there doing run throughs and I freaked out. I was like, 'What was she wearing?' 'Did she have a baby bump?' (This was way back before she confirmed her first pregnancy and it was just rumors) 'Was she nice??'
And he was like 'Uhhh I don't know. I was busy adjusting a light.' And I was all 'YOU ARE THE WORST CELEBRITY STALKER EVER!' I mean, I sit at a computer looking at financial statements all day and it would be nice to get a little thrill every once in awhile.
  • Jenny - Spamalot!!! I grew up watching Monty Python, so it was just amazing to see it played out live, written by the original writers of MP. If you don't like Monty Python, though, I can see Spamalot being very weird and going over your head. I love British Humor, though.

  • Edie, that's an awesome dream. Everyone NEEDS a hairy coat ...

Swag - I LOVE monty python. (Now I've got the Lumberjack Song stuck in my head.) British humour is so awesome, I've loved it forever. I remember being a little kid and watching "On the Busses" with my dad on Saturday late night tv. Yup, always been a nerd.

don't cry Apple. If my meeting after school is cancelled, I'm thinking about heading out for a ski, or maybe a quick snowmobile ride before picking DD up at her dance class.

  • Morning ladies!

Last night was our last night sleeping in our full sized bed.  Our king arrives today.  H is home waiting for the delivery while ADT installs our security system.  We live in a pretty safe area, but we have a 3 story townhome and it makes me nervous that someone could come in our front door and we'd never be able to hear it from our bedroom.  So H talked me into ADT.  I'm just afraid I'll set the darn thing off every day (or our dog will).

I would LOVE to see Wicked.  I'm not very far from NYC, but I don't know too many people who would be interested in going to see Broadway shows with me.  H wants nothing to do with any plays.  I've only ever seen Cats and Chicago and I'm dying to see more!

  • Congrats lls! I love musicals. FI doesn't really like them but I got him to see We Will Rock You when we were in London because he loves Queen. I am sitting here with the power off at the codo because there is supposed to be somebody working on the window from the outside and it is right where the power line comes in. I don't know where the and since FI is our of town I guess I need to find his number and call home. Ugh

I was going to mention it this morning, but Edie is quick and caught the ticker before I had a chance!  Haha.  We announced to our families on Christmas and plan to make the announcement to our friends in a week or two.

We do have names picked out, but not completely sure they're definite yet.  We both love the names we picked, but I'm not too thrilled that they're both listed in the top baby names.

    Thanks ladies!  :)

  • My husband isn't keen on Wyatt, and it's V not IV lol, he wants a fifth, he really didn't want one until after his dad passed, but if thats what he wants I suppose I can handle that, however we'd have to come up with a nickname because it'd be his fathers name, his grandfathers name(on my side) and his uncles name lol

  • My FI is the third too. I am glad he doesn't want to name our kid the 4th. That is the only naming decision we have so far. He does have dog names picked our but I don't remember them.

  • Speaking of dogs! James was throwing his toy down the hall, and Riff couldn't stop and slid into the bathroom door and I swear he yelped Sh!t! haha it was sooo funny, I think I laughed for 15 minutes

<div>So funny.  Men crack me up.  H was the same way.  I think he put more thought into dog names than baby names.  Although I do have to say, he is dead set on Brody.  I love the name, but I don't want people calling him "Bro."  That would really bug me.</div>
    21811_10151174643987291_1046283999_n_zpsddfa358c Anniversary BabyFruit Ticker
  • I would never think to call a guy named broady "bro" but thats just me, I think of "bro" as slang I guess.
    image
  • lls, there are several Brody's here at school, and no one calls them Bro. I've never seen it shortened like that - if it helps.

My DS is a Nicholas (now Nick, 'cause he's almost 13 - lol), and I was worried about giving him a popular name, but it isn't that bad. It did bother me that ex-Hs cousin had a boy on DS's first birthday and also named him Nicholas. WTF? It's a small family, and there are other names people!

As a teacher, picking names is tough.

DS is Nicholas Augustus (middle name after dad and gf)
DD is Kira Rose (Kira means sunshine, and DS picked her middle name himself)
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • Edie, I thought of that but we know 2 other people with sons named Brady.  We'll probably just stick with Brody if it's a boy and just correct people if they decide to call him Bro.

  • I could imagine that being a teacher would make picking names more difficult.  You could love a name and one bad kid could ruin it for you.

I actually have a really large family and some of the names I've liked through the years have been used by some of my cousins.  So that sucks.  But we're pretty happy with the names on our list right now, so we're good!

  • You guys are talkative this morning!

Brittany, that recipe sounds delicious! (Pinning it right now for future use) I might try that with boneless skinless chicken breasts sometime, and possibly bake it because sometimes I'm just lazy want to throw things in the oven instead. The swap of lime juice would be great too.

Marrin, I know you haven't spoken up yet this morning, but I may PM you later.

lls, congrats! I'm far from "baby mode" and rarely like many baby things, but that ticker is cute! As for baby names, I've always like Ava. Though I'm not thrilled it's still high on the list of most popular names. I like Lily too. But a friend of ours who is expecting in April, is naming their baby Lilia, so that name is probably out. I haven't thought of any boy names yet. Oh well, good thing we still have about 2-3 years until we want to start a family.

  • Buzz! I'm using chicken breasts and probably baking too haha.

H and I are goign to start at the beginning of next year, we only have two october Birthday's so that could be nice. Tho I'd be pregnant in the dead of summer in FL, not so appealing. H won't agree to try any earlier though. Especially with building the house and such, which we are now on google maps with the new address YAY! I'm so anxious for them to break ground.
