theres 200 on our list and 100 between our parents so we are going to be cutting that list down

Between our list and our parent's list, we were up to almost 250. We quickly cut that down. We are currently at 210. Is it wrong that I'm hoping that we have some people can't attend once we send out invitations. Lol.

Our max was a whooping 15 but I think it may even be smaller then that. More like 10 and I couldn't be happier with it.

We invited about 150. So far I've gotten about 30 rsvps back. I really don't want to go over 100, but people I thought were going to definite no's have said yes! And they're bringing dates! Waaaah!

237 potential guests, 217 max (that's the number of chair sashes I brought from another bride off of the knot). Hoping for 175!

The goal was to only invite 100 people...we are at 140 right now. So lets hope 40 people decline. This per person rate is crazy....boy do I wish I had a DW and spent all my money on that instead. Room upgrades, excursions, shopping etc....

We sent out 120 invitation. We are having a destination wedding at this point i know that we have 48 guest that have booked hotel rooms. I'm hoping we get up to 60 total but at this point i'm happy with the 48. FI wanted to invite a few more ppl and I had to remind him that that's 165 per person he quickly said oh ok.

Total invited is now at 175 (highly upset about that!).. We've only got a couple no's so far.. honestly hoping to knock like 20-25 of them off... I'll be good with 150 even (which including FI and myself would be 152)

I said this to my FI this past weekend!! lol! I was like can we just get married and have just a few of us there and then throw a party with friends?! I'm excited though just a little overwhelmed sometimes with all of the details!!

LOL!! Exactly!! Or they wanna come and you know they won't bring a gift but will ask for 2 plates and some to take with them.

Original guest list max was 150, but were at 134 including us..fi keeps coming up with these long lost people/coworkers/college buddies...he was like well we have open slots..i said we have to pay for these people..so the less we invite the.more we save..especially since he saw the catering proposal!!! (almost fainted)..soo I told him this $$ number goes up with each person you remember out of the blue!! Lol

OH NO!!!!! That's a BIG NO NO!!!!!

Well, mine is still on hiatus but my GL was at 184 and that was with I'm sure a lot of my mom's people not included and FI was hesitant or not interested on submitting his list, so it ws short on his side.

My mom did give this tidbit of advice. It may be a bit out of the ordinary, but seems like it could work. Prioritize the list. So when you have each guest in their priority category, send out your first max cut off (plus a few extras) to that first group. Then when your no RSVPs start rolling in, drop in the mail another invite. So that way you haven't invitied 200+ and everybody u basically accounted for as a no, shows up. I thought it was crazy at first, BUT it alleviates that budget info and if these people on the bottom of the list u are indifferent if they are really there or not, then u know u haven't gone over budget. BUT you would have to start with the invites a tadbit earlier so that those 2nd stringers get their invites in enough time to RSVP and there isn't too much time with people in social circles getting invities apart from each other.

Initially we set our limit at 150 guests, but now our max is 125 or slightly lower.

inviting 100 and it better be only 100 or less show up cause I refuse to be writing checks at the end of the night. Everybody must be paid off in full waaayyyy before the wedding.
