how did you ask your BMs?

happy friday everyone!

just curious how everyone asked their MOH and BMs to be in the wedding party? I bought cute "will you be my moh/bm?" cards, but I don't want to just mail them to everyone, I want to do something creative. Did you also give a gift when you asked? my MOH is going to be my sister and I'm having FI's sister and 3 friends (2 of which live out-of-state in NY, so most likely I will not be able to ask them in person).

    i gave cards (hand delivered) and just wrote really heartful messages in all of them.  since i couldn't see them all at the same time, i made them all keep their mouths shut until everyone had been told!

    I asked them all over lunch- individually though- over a period of a few months.

    It's just my three sisters, so they already knew. I did officially ask them over the phone when I told them we were engaged. If I had included my friends as well, I toyed with the idea of sending flowers. I'd like to be asked that way!

    we all went out to dinner and I gave each girl a small double picture frame with a funny picture of she and I on one side, and a heart felt note on the other side.  The girls pretty much knew, but I enjoyed letting them know how special they are to me!

    I got each of them a shirt made (very cheap -$12) in my wedding clors - navy blue with Orange writing and the writing had "Bridesmaid" or "Maid of Honor" written on it- I wrapped them up nicely and then with a note card on my named stationary I wrote Will you Be My... and then they opened it and saw.  I mailed them to each of them.  They LOVED the idea!  I got the shirts right off the knot.  It was such a hit!

    jquirke9881 did it cost you $20 to ship a cookie? I wanted to send them to each my bridesmaids. The cookie is $10 and they're charging me $20 to ship. RIDICULOUS. Do you have a coupon code you use?
