My Dress is In!

I got a phone call today...and its in! :)
Now I just need to make an appointment for the next time I am in the area to do a fitting....And I need to get shoes, jewelry and undergarments.

Totally not sure on what undergarments I need though.....Help?

The undergarments depend on your dress.

i have a sweetheart a-line dress: I need a crinoline (makes it poofy) and a strapless bra/shaper combination.

You will almost certainly need the bra/shaper combination. It seems to be a wedding dress staple...

I was lucky enough to get away without a bra/shaper thing. I was shocked the store didn't try to tell me I had to have it, but there you go.

You could call and ask what undergarments they recommend you bring in to try on with the dress- and I highly recommend comfortable undies. You can always change into the super sexy later! :)

I had bra cups sewn into my dress and had a crinoline for the skirt.  I'd ask the stores recommendation - maybe try it on and see how it feels without undergarmets - and decide what you need from there.

    I second comfortable undies!

But I'm really posting just to say YEAHHHH....YOUR DRESS IS IN!  It's so fun!

It usually depends on how the dress is made (is it strapless?)  Are you large busted? (If so, I'd not recommend sewing bra cups in. My clients usually get the shaper/bra undergarment).  And I second the comfortable undies as well as comfortable shoes!

Take the undergarments and shoes each and every time you go for a fitting and above all else be sure to tell the person doing any alterations *exactly* how it feels and if you have questions about fit.   The person fitting you can't read your mind!

    OH! and yay!

    Yay!!  Exciting!

I also had cups sown into to my dress, and a little bit of crinoline material sown into the back of my dress to make it poof a little more.  So...the only undergarments I am wearing is underwear!  Of course this totally depends on what your dress is like and what your body is like.  I second asking them what they think, but more importantly how do you feel in it?  If you feel like you want certian parts to be more toned or perky then maybe you should look into shapers/bras.  Otherwise, its fine if you don't need anything too!
