aettinge - I was just in Cape Breton about a month ago (and crashed a knottie's wedding in River Bourgeois while I was there). I spent two nights in Baddeck! We loved it - what a gorgeous place!
That is so awesome! I live in Port Hawkesbury - you probably drove through it to get to River Bourgeois! We fell in love with Baddeck - it is beautiful! My FI is from Maine (I'm from NS but closer to Halifax; we met when I was working in NB - can you say a little crossborder shopping?! lol!) and we just moved here about a year ago, so we thought "why not?!" - let's get married in Cape Breton! So it's basically a destination wedding for our families

I'm really looking forward to meeting some other Canadians on this site. Joseph and I are planning a small affair- we've whittled our list down to 50 people! We have a family member who is a baker, and is making our cake for us. My FI's mother is even going to print our invites for us, and I'm going to be designing them. (I have a Graphic Arts Diploma)
