desert - that actually made my skin crawl! I would hide until someone came to squish it!

I also love potatoes a ridiculous amount - again, maybe the Irish?

There are 8 years between myself and my only sibling - I was not an accident, and my mom is now trying to use the same tactic she used for my dad to agree to have another baby to get another puppy. Funny thing is that I ended up being a total daddy's girl.

For as long as I can remember up until about a year ago when BF and I started living together, I used to jump into my bed from across the room for fear something/someone was going to grab my ankles. I still do it if I'm home alone.

If I am the last person to leave a building (home, work, etc) I have to check at least 2 times that the door is locked. If I am still unsure after getting into the car, I will go back and check again.

I can coo like a pigeon, use to do it in class in high school and the teach closed the window once.

I slept with my baby blanket almost every day till just this past febuary. Now it is in with my winter clothes and my family knows they have to bury me with it lol

If i see a barrel of something i have to sick my hand in it be it candy, coffee beans or peanuts i have to stick my hand in it.

I also have to touch the wall as i walk by and touch clothes as i pass them in clothing stores.

I cannot stand the sound of people eating, unless I'm eating, and then I don't notice it.  When BF is eating and I'm not, I leave the room. But last week I was stuck in a meeting from 12:30 to 2pm, and the guy next to me was eating this crunchy salad...slowly. Oh my God, it was torture!
  • edited December 2011

Add me to the list of those who eats a meal one food at a time.

I can sniff/suck my upper lip up to my nostrils...don't ask me how I discovered I could do this, I think I was probably bored in class when I was about 9 or 10...it's made kids laugh over the years; I don't do it very often anymore, cause I have TMJ and I have to move my jaw weird to do it.

I had Lyme Disease about 10 years ago (luckily I have extremely sensitive skin and the lovely bullseye rash appeared very quickly on me, so we were able to treat it quickly - just have some residual joint pain sometimes and get overheated easily), but ever since I refuse to eat or drink anything lime flavored.  I know they're spelled differently and they're not the same, but they're pronounced the same, so I refuse.

I collect Goofy things...that's Disney's Goofy.  I'm not talking just stuffed animals, stickers and little figurines - I have probably around 1000 Goofy items.  I'm not allowed to buy anything Goofy for myself anymore - my mom and my FI want to make sure there are things left for them to get me for bdays and such.

    That bug is seriously freaky!

I'm not at all scared of bugs - I'm the one who kills (or takes outside) the monster Florida animals that crawl into our house - bugs and spiders get killed, lizards get taken outside.  I once grabbed a mouse by its tail and threw it outside.

Not sure how I would have responded to that mammoth of a bug, though!

Also, I have never drank an entire can of Coke or Pepsi (or any other cola-flavored soda).  It makes me feel nauseous - I've tried them before, obviously, but I will not drink them.  No one ever seems to remember this except my mother - my father and boyfriend will offer me drinks with Coke (like Rum & Coke) all the time!

I'm also allergic to pipe cleaners - yes those little fuzzy bendy things you played with as a kid.  They make my hands swell up if I touch them for too long.

I have a phobia of blood.  I gave myself a concussion fainting when I saw it on TV.

I cracked my head on the corner of a wall falling off a Little Tykes chair the summer before I turned 2.  If I shaved my head, everybody could see the huge scar.

As a child, I was terrified of everything but LOVED the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.  I cried when he turned into the prince at the end of the movie.

I cannot have my food touch and i have to eat the courses one at a time too...I can only drink water during my meals, if it is juice or something with flavor then i have to wait until i am finished eating, it grosses me out.

I am deathly afraid of spiders. (that fricken wasp almost made me pass out)

I only poop maybe 3 times a week (tmi i know lol)

Wow, I didn't realize so many people eat thier meals one item at a time! BF has always thought I was weird for doing that but now I have proof that I'm not alone!

I've torn my ACL twice now. The first time was in a soccer match. I had reconstruction surgery to fix it but then I tore that. The second time doesn't have a cool story unfortunately. I was walking out the door and pivoted. No fall just knee giving out.

I'm not a fan of fruit. My list consists of apples, grapes, watermelon and cherries.

I can crack most of the bones in my body, fingers, hips, knees... doctors say it's air in my joints and is perfectly healthy...

My jaw is out of alignment after grinding my teeth for a while while overly stressed and upset over situations with my exH years ago... as a result my jaw pops a lot.

I was given experimental drugs as a toddler for an eye condition (mutliple styes) which ruined my vision and ate the enamel off of my teeth, both the baby teeth and my adult set.  I ended up having to have surgery anyways after all that... haha.

I am not afraid of bugs, rodents or reptiles... I routinely kill bugs, set mice traps and take the dead ones to the trash and I wrangled a snake that got in the house too!  However, I would have screamed if a bug the size of my hand came flying at me!

I put my food seperately on my plate but usually eat it all together.  For example... If I'm having say, fish, mashed potatoes and brocolli.  I will take a small piece of brocolli, a little taters and then a small piece of fish on each fork full.

If I'm eating a sandwich I take a bite of sandwich and then a bite of whatever else I have with it... chips, pretzels, an apple.

I can not start my day without brushing my teeth and washing my face.

I sleep with one earplug every night and two when I travel.  I also have to take my mutli-vitamin before bed every single night.

I take allergy medicine (claritin-d, benadryl or both when it's peak allergy season) more days than not.

That is all that I can think of at the moment.

<div>Haha!  My FI proposed with a loose diamond that came from my family.  He really wanted me to help with pick out the ring and really couldn't wait to propose while one was being made, so he proposed with just the diamond.  It was in a display box within a ring box.  Well, I was super excited, obviously! But I really wanted to wear something the next day to work until we could get a ring made.  And the only thing he had on hand was a zip-tie from his tool bag. So he sized it to my finger and cut off the extra end.  I wore that for a day until we were able to get a cheap ring to wear for the month until my actual ring came in.  It kept getting smaller and I was afraid it would get stuck!  So now that I have my real ring, I kept the zip-tie and the cheap ring in a box. </div><div>
</div><div>So, thats my story :-)  Here is a pic of the ring!</div>

I once killed a bat with the antenna on my car at 4am.

I ended up knocking the power out of my high school once. Another time I  was part of a class that tripped the fire alarm.

When I was pregnant, I put the lid to an often-used saucepan in a more "convenient" spot. That was over three years ago, and it still has yet to be found.
I really wanted to wear something the next day to work until we could get a ring made.  And the only thing he had on hand was a zip-tie from his tool bag. So he sized it to my finger and cut off the extra end.  I wore that for a day until we were able to get a cheap ring to wear for the month until my actual ring came in.
<div>There is no way I would have done that!  I got a zip-tie stuck on my wrist in 2nd grade and the paramedics had to come to get it off!  My had had swelled up and was turning purple... *shudders*</div>
