Dog People

My one dog has diarrhea but is still drinking and eating.

The other is pooping solid but not eating.

Would pepto be okay?  I know I could google, but I figured pet people would be a better resource considering google is somewhat crazy with these things sometimes.

It would probably also help to switch to bland diet for a day or so until it clears up - rice, boiled chicken, etc.

Also, pumpkin mix (not the one used for pies) and yogurt will help.

I will try all.  Thank you.

My poor pup was peeing out his butt. Though amazing and slightly humorous, cleaning it up in the house was anything but that.

I second pumpkin (PURE pumpkin - not pumpkin pie filling) - but be sure not to give them more than 1/4 cup, otherwise it'll only worsen the diarrhea.

I also second the antacid suggestion, that has worked great for one of ours in the past.

We're having a similar problem with our two since we moved. I'm hoping it's just stress because I'm getting a little tired of cleaning up "surprises" in a new home.

immodium is OK too  but I forget the dosage--I'd call the vet before giving it.

Yup, I agree with the pepto tabs and chicken and rice, works for ours.
