Album Costs

Good Morning! I was wondering how much your albums cost.  I was just quoted $1600 for an album (on top of the $3000 to take the pictures) and I wanted to know if that’s average or if someone does them for less? Thanks!

    The other girls might be able to give you a better idea if that is a typical price or not. We went with a very reasonably priced photographer, and opted out of the album, but received all pictures on dvds.  I made my own album, and while sometimes i am sad not to have the professional one, in the long run, I didn't feel like it was worth the high price.  Fo our photographer, adding the album would have been about $700, I think,.     Luckily the price of our album is built into our package but I know they can be quite expensive. I met with quite a few photographers before choosing mine and they all quoted me about $1500-$2000 for an album. I know it depends on the type of album you choose. The fancier the album the more money. The more traditional albums are much much cheaper! They don't usually like to use them but they should have an option to pick that one. Ask to see all of the album choices.

    You can get a slip-in album from a photographer for a few hundred dollars, but for digital photo books, the price you got seems to be the going rate. We didn't get one from our photographer yet, but might decide to get one. I want one, but that is just so much money. I might look around online for an online photobook designer - I'm sure I've seen them before.

    Our album was included in the package...but we went with the traditional slip in album.  I love the look of the digital books but i couldn't justify the price.  Plus, we got a cd with the pics so we could always design one ourselves later.

    our album portion of the package is $2,500 - dont remember # of pages but photo count is about 100. They had a smaller package for the album of $1,500.

    I only met with one photographer and I was quoted $30/page for a leather library-bound bridal album.  A larger table album was $60/page. Hope this helps.
