L'Auberge

Does anyone have any experience or know anything about L'auberge del mar? I would love any info because they don't give too much info online and I live in Vegas. I am looking for one place to do ceremony and reception. Also I was wondering what everyone thinks about having a cocktail and appetizer reception. Is it okay to save $$$$ by doing just apps and drinks instead of dinner and spend the $$$$ on a fancier site?

Hi! I just got married at L'Auberge on July 12th. I will write a longer review later, but all in all it was a wonderful and perfect day. Their food really is amazing, all our guests were commenting on how weddings typically don't have great food and the food was truly delicious. We had welcome cocktails/ceremony/cocktail hour at Seagrove, dinner on the Pacific Terrace (such a pretty view during sunset!), and dancing in the ballroom. As far as the train goes, it only lasts 10 seconds and I just told the preacher to stop talking if it went by. It wasn't a big deal to me, so I didn't worry about "timing it". But you can try to time it, by waiting to walk till after it goes by. However, it happened to not go by the entire ceremony. And it went by when we were walking down to the beach for pics so we got some fun pics with the train in the background zooming by. The walk from L'Auberge to Seagrove is not bad and very pretty. We had a limo and a shuttle van (provided by the hotel) for guests that didn't want to walk. Most guests prefered to walk, as it was so nice outside, and sip on their cocktails :). It also made for some great pictures!

My wedding is in September and I was between L'Auberge and it's sister resort Estanica. I LOVE L'Auberge and really wanted to have our wedding there, but I didn't want to have the ceremony in the park b/c I had been to two weddings there already. The other option was the Sunset Terrace, which also has an amazing view of the ocean, but it's literally right next to the bar/restaurant with no divide, so there's no privacy. There are a number of ways you can set-up your flow from ceremony to cocktails to dancing. If you are hoping to have a more private ceremony then this is not the place, but if you want a place with an amazing view and don't mind doing a non-traditional set-up then you should def consider it. Paige, the Catering Manager is awesome to work with.

    Hope this help,
