BM dress issue

I think I found a BM dress I really like but my sister said it make her feel pregnant(she is the smallest one in the bunch) So because I know she would do it for me I am looking for another dress http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=-49998974&currentIdx=18&subCategory=-49998976%7c-49998975%7c-49998974&catentryId=6142398&sort=

I am looking for a vintage 1950's feel but they are all short (think Audrey)
What i like about the dress is the pleats.I am having a hard time finding something I like, my sister keeps trying to find something but I don't like any of them, and she wants to wear a different dress which i don't want...Help!!

Personally, and I know this isn't always the common opinion, I think you should let them pick what they want even if its not necessarily your first choice. While I get the whole, its your wedding etc etc, they still have to wear and buy the dress. While wearing a dress you don't necessarily like tends to be part of the whole bridesmaid thing - I don't think it HAS to be. I'd rather them be happy in their clothes over getting my choice of dress.

Now, that being said, what do you not like about the dresses she picks, and how do the other ladies feel about the dresses? I'm assuming its the empire waist paired with the pleating that's causing the unhappiness. I have a shirt like that and have been asked if I was pregnant while wearing it so I can see where she's coming from. Are you set that the dresses be from David's Bridal? Do you care about length or anything else about the dress?

I think that dress is really cute! Even if you go short, they can alter it to make it so the bottom part doesn't come out so poofy. Don't count on your sister doing it for you when it's her turn- go with what you want!

At the end of the day, it's your decision on the dress- and anything else for that matter. It's nice that you want to take your sister's need or whatever into account, but this isn't about her, so she can suck it up and wear what you choose. Obviously it can be said a lot sweeter than I did, but you know what I mean. It's not like you are trying to make her wear 6-inch heels or something. I've worn some pretty heinous BM dresses in my day, and stood there in my dyed shoes that I've never worn since and smiled and not complained. To the bride's face, anyway! Laughing

I've found that the more I give in to people on wedding BS, the more they try to take. Not everyone is going to like everything, but I figure as long as FI and I are good with it, that's all that matters!

3 out of 5 BM like the dress,I think it looks good on everyone. One BM that wasnt crazy about it said its no big deal and would were whatever I wanted. It just my sister.lol Ive been in her 1st and 2nd wedding the first one my dress was horrible but I was 13 and didnt have a say.Her last wedding she let me pick whatever I wanted lol I  really dislike the drapped fabric to the side  http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=-49998974&currentIdx=30&subCategory=-49998976%7c-49998975%7c-49998974&catentryId=6110576&sort=

I saw the dress you picked on a couple of different sized girls when i was trying on my wedding dress. Let's just say, IT LOOKS AMAZING! (AND IT HAS POCKETS!!!)

Is your sister the MOH? If so, then let her get something different. As long as both dresses are from David's then they will match in color!

I thought it looked good on every body shape.
Sister is MOH but every girl is going to be in a different color so I dont want 2 different dresses :/
Because I also have 2 jr BM,one is in an adult size another in a childs so i will have 8 different colors and 4 different styles if my MOH is in a diffeent style

Eh, I'm going to backtrack a little but if she's the ONLY one who's got the issue I'm more inclined to say just suck it up and wear the dress you don't like. If you have 5 bridesmaids and you want them all in the same dress chances are one person one be 100% happy with it. You guys could honestly drive yourselves crazy finding a dress 5 bridesmaids and the bride all love.
