First Dance(s)

I know I have seen this discussed around but I kinda wanted to refresh on what you are picking.  Neither FI or I like being the center of attention.  So I have been trying to pick a song for us that we can dance for a minute or two and then I will grab my dad and he will grab his mom for those dances.  So ONE song, all dances. 

The front runner is Ellie Gouldings cover of "your song".    Have any of you picked yet?

    We haven't picked yet. Forever I wanted it to be Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney, but lately I have been thinking against that decision. I really like Song Bird by Eva Cassidy, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

    ETA: For my father/daughter dance it will probably be Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison because that's always been our song. :-)

    Our first dance will probably be to "Swing Life Away" by Rise Against. I don't know if my parents are going to show up so I have no idea if there will be a father-daughter dance at all. I will probably consider songs after I see if my parents RSVP or not.

    Our first dance is going to be I'll Stand By You, by the Pretenders, I really wanted a song that reflected both of us, so there are verses that are him and some that are me.  The Mother/Son is You'll be in my heart, by Phil Collins, no idea the Father/Daughter yet.

    I love it.

    Our first dance song is "Days Like This" by Van Morrison, and my dance with my daddy song is "Forever Young" by Bob Dylyn.

    Love the idea of one song all dances though... But I think my grandfather would want just a single dance for him and me.
