Poll - Are you (Did you) see your man before the ceremony?

Hi ladies.  I'm trying to decide whether or not we should see each other before the wedding.  At first he said he didn't want to, but now he actually says he doesn't mind if we do.  We are getting married at Lanikuhonua, Phase II.  Not really anywhere to hide before hand, so everyone will be able to see me from afar.  I also thought it might be nice to take pix before while the makeup is fresh since it will be in the middle of summer :).  I would love to hear what you all did.
Also, if you did see eachother, how long before the ceremony did you do this?  I'm just trying to figure out our timeline as well.

Thanks so much!!

Okay, I voted no, bad luck - but it wasn't about that. He really wanted to have that moment of me walking down the aisle, and it worked out beauitfully. We got most of our group shots done first so we had plenty of photography time!

we are doing a "first meeting" and capturing his face from that :) then we're going to do pictures before hand just because we have to clean up and be out of lani by 10pm.

i want to be able to actually hang out with guests instead of running around taking pictures the whole time. plus i don't want to be rushed for pics. and it'll be hot as balls in july :)

I would totally do it, for me personally, it would eliviate some stress and pressure. But we will see how it turns out!

We did it and it was really special.  We were able to hug and have a smooch without being in front of everyone (and the pastor....lol)!  Also, the photos of it are priceless........ you can really see the joy of seeing each other.

We saw each other beforehand and it was perfect! We took a bunch of pictures then and it was great because my hair and makeup looked fresh, hahaha. But seriously, it was so nice to have a special moment captured on camera and I used that opportunity to give him his wedding gift too.  I highly recommend it . . . and I still really enjoyed walking down the aisle..you will still be able to capture those great moments of walking down the aisle on camera too. The more pictures, the better!

I thought it might be nice to capture that moment in a more intimate setting, but I couldn't sell the idea to Glenn.  He kept saying how is it intimate when you have five people around holding cameras? Oh well, I hope I can see his face when I walk down the aisle--I'm nearsighted :(

We had originally planned on seeing eachother before hand because we thought we'd be a bucket of nerves. So we coordinated this with our photographer and had it in the timeline. But when the actual day came around we were so incredibly relaxed, no nerves at all, and no gross face crying. That's what we were nervous about.

We're planning to do a "first look".  I've heard it alleviates a lot of stress and anxiety before the wedding, and it also allows you to squeeze in more photo time with your photog.  From what I've seen, the photos are priceless!

I don't believe in the 'bad luck' superstition - if a marriage were all based on that alone, it probably wasn't meant to be in the first place!  Just trying to put it into perspective, lol!  I am personally looking forward to spending some "alone time" with FI before walking down the aisle.  :)

We had our moment when hubby saw me for the first time in the hotel's lobby.  We got a hospitality room for him to get ready at.

Thanks ladies.  I'm going to try and sell the idea to him tomorrow :).  I think it will be sweet and I do like the idea of taking some pix before with fresh hair & makeup :).  Since the party has to end at 10:00 PM, I also want to spend as much time as I can with our guest.  I'll let you know how it goes!
